Who do you have internet with?

The 300gb only count during peak hours usage between specific late night hours is unlimited with teksavvy.... I run 3 computers a ps3,VoIP and my cell(WiFi) and can barely cross 60 GB.. My family is full of heavy users of online TV/movies(paid)..... Still can't reach the limit

I'm with Teksavvy and just got an email letting me know that my montly bill is going down by $6 bucks. No calling, haggling....these people find a way to get a better price and pass it on to the customer....I love Teksavvy....in today's world of rising prices and inflation who voluntarily lowers the prices? Not Bell or Rogers thats for sure...

+1, just got the same email. I've never had Robelus do anything even remotely similar.

Account Changes: Your price has been lowered!

Dear xxx xxx,

We are writing to inform you of some really great changes to your Internet service from TekSavvy. We are lowering pricing and passing on the savings to all of our customers! How TekSavvy is that?
As of your next billing date, you will notice that the Internet package you are subscribing to will change from High Speed DSL 6 / DSL à haute vitesse 6 at $34.99 to High Speed DSL 6 Pro / DSL 6 Pro at $32.99.
No action is required on your part. As of March 27th, 2013 TekSavvy automatically made the updates to our system. Your next bill will reflect the new pricing.

Had Bell Fibe 16... moved to Bell Five 25 and packaged TV/phone. Supposedly 25Mbps download... my *****. My wireless download speed with DOWN. I average 200kbps on downloads from major websites which is shameful.

Been about 2 weeks on this "new" plan. Anyone else relate??

Teksavvy for the last 6 years. I have never had a problem. I was on DSL and now i'm on the Cable 18. 300gb /month. I never go over.
Teksavvy is awesome. Anyone thinking of switching over, PM me as Teksavvy rewards referrals.

Thats 2 weeks too long. Switch providers and/or get cable.

In all probability your lines are junk... either inside or outside. Not sure how well Bell handles that. If you call and threaten to cancel your service (and are serious about it) Im sure they'll send someone to fix you up.

Everybody's DSL bill went down a bit since the adjustment of the wholesale rates, by the way. As for wireless download speeds.. Try wired first and report on that. Wireless is crap and I don't trust it.. Yeah, I'll use it on my cell phones and on mobile laptops, but my media player, cordless (SIP/VoIP) phone base and the desktop machine are wired, for a good reason.

I'm only with Rogers because I get discount on tv. Teksavvy look like good ppl

Sent from my Phone, dont judge the grammar

Having just had the entire installation done (for free for switching), it's not an option to switch.
I wonder if the guy somehow botched the installation.

I tried the wired speed - max I got was 15 mbps. Upload speeds seem fine and consistent around 9/10mpbs, but it's the download speed, particularly wireless that i'm concerned about.

I'll be calling this weekend and i'll post a follow up.

Well my experience with Bell was that if I tried to do more than one thing, (ie. download AND surf) at a time, I couldn't do either. They "tried" fixing it, but I finally figured out the problem.... I signed up with Teksavvy and never looked back.

I'd help you figure it out but the problem is that those Bell modems are TERRIBLE. You can't even pull your stats from them. Have you tried connecting direct to modem, just to rule out the router? (I'm giving you some suggestions here in order to minimize your exposure to "Jay" and "Frank" from their call centers in Mumba.. I mean Mississippi )

I too am on Fibe 25, pretty consistent 20-25 down/10 up when checked with speedtest. I am having some connection issues though that Bell is dragging their feet on fixing.

The factory Bell modem/router doesn't do QoS very well, using your own router would change things.

I have acanac's 18mbps plan and every time I run a speed test it sits between 42 and 48mbps. Not to mention free home phone, I'm happy. I did have teksavvy for years and ended up having a blowout with them so I switched.

I've been with 3web for 8 years easy, and I pay under $35 monthly unlimited bandwidth usage.

I've generally been very happy, but I don't stream HD TV, download massive files, my usual download speed is 100-120 kbps speed, and I have little problems watching youtube and streaming non-HD movies.

The Teksavvy prices have me thinking whether I'm overpaying. I always thought I was getting a bargain.

another vote for teksavvy. to the op, if you want wireless internet you can connect any off the shelf router to the modem your isp gives you. the combo modem/router units have poor wireless performance.

Just make sure you save your PPPoE (DSL) username/password so you can configure the router or your DSL support people will be tearing their hair out. Also, make sure your modem is set to bridge mode once you're ready to hook up the router. If you don't know how and you didn't get the modem from your ISP, RTFM (read the effing manual) or contact the manufacturer.. Same goes for the router

Im with Acanac, theyre the cheapest by far if you sign up for a 1 year term and theyll also toss in a free VOIP and dry loop DSL line for as long as you are a customer. Drawback is that you have to pay in advance. They take FOREVER to come by and install (atleast for me) and customer service isnt very helpful but other than that, its never gone down or anything like that so Ive only ever called customer service twice (when they were taking forever to come and install)

It's the same with teksavvy, for cable installation at least.
