Where is everybody buying tires?

Pffff , the shops can leave if they want. I can even spoon tires on a rim now.

I have to partially agree with this. There are some great shops while others are terrible. Pricing is the main reason for places like Petes. If it were a few dollars ok but sometimes you're talking upwards of 80-100 on a tire price. That's unacceptable.

I'd be fine with up to $50 difference (with tires) to pay for convenience and to put funds back into the local area, but it's not that usually, it's much more. One shop near here is a victim of his own success, reasonable shop prices but he's busy as anything, needs more staff. The two go hand in hand and I'm really glad he's doing well.

I've had shitkos and they scared the hell out of me. Came used on a bike I bought. Put Michelins on in a month. Had Pirelli before. Shitkos were about as good as the IRC that come on the 250s. A MUST change if you care about keeping 2 wheels down at all.

Have you guys shopped around locally lately? Do you just paint all shops with the same brush after you have a couple of bad experiences? Yes a while ago Pete was the ****, I used to buy from him for the same reason as I agree that when the prices are that much higher local shops are shooting themselves in the foot, but in the past couple of years I can get same, similar or better than Pete here in the GTA.

They do. 003 and 008. I've tried the 010 and still seem to be alive.

I'm on my second set of 705s on my wee. Like them better then bridgestones or metzeler alternatives.

have you tried the? I would buy them again as I ran 005 on my 929RR and where very good in all weather conditions and stuck well in the corners the bad is they dont last that long.
