What an unexpected treat - bare handed - open jacket up to the forks and even some nice colour. Was going out regardless - garage was freezing +20 outside.
Took the day off work - went to Ellicottville, had lunch, then down around Salamanca, onto Jamestown up around 394 along Lake Chautauqua, then Hwy 5 and Lakeshore Rd, to Buffalo and then home........what a GREAT day, mid 70's down there and sun all day.
Took a quick run up through Creemore and Glen Huron via Hockley, Mansfield and Hornings Mills. River Road on the way back. Great afternoon for a ride since the rain stopped this morning.
It's nice to see the season has not ended for some of us. I took the bike to Port Dover, then along the North Shore of Lake Erie to Windsor. The weather was warm. For more details and pics...click the link below and see post 325
Just wanted to go for Gas but ended up riding down to Port Credit, stopped at Jack Darling Park for a picture of my bike and then back home along Mississauga Road. I saw a few bikes out mostly cruisers.
Lovely day today the 19th - good backroads from Mississauga to Guelph - kid still can't go far til he changes his seat but much fun. Might head over to St. Jacobs for supper.
We shoulda oughta turned left across Sawmill and gone across the top of Guelph - damn - 90 minutes in traffic out of KW and across the 401
who knew!!!!
Bit of rain - but not bad out - still 12. 220 km in October worth while and a St. Jacobs cabbage roll for supper, some fresh bread and good jam to bring home
Ridge Road...
All ajacent roads are wet and largely littered with foilage.... OK for a brisk jaunt but not ideal for any spirited pace... Nice to be out though
Waterloo to Caledon area, then WAY across over to the Kawartha Lakes, HWY 507, Rd 3 to Halliburton, HWY 118 to Gravenhurst, and back through Horseshoe Valley and Airport Roads with a good run of Terra Nova road thrown in.
The new-to-me VFR is even more comfty than my Bandit 600 was, and I did a good job on the chicken strips today. It was rainy in cottage country earlier today but that seemed to pass - just in time for me to hit the good stuff. Wasn't exactly summer weather but the roads were dry and clear, and was great to get out.
Went to ride up around in Muskoka/Gravenhurst area (Southwood, Houseys Rapids, Cooper Falls)...then down to Port Perry...was hoping to catch more of the fall colours but it seems a lot of it is gone already...still pretty though.
Nice run Hondu. Guess you like the VFR - always been attracted to them.
I thought about going up to Renovo but was spending more timing learning the camera and it was windy so stayed close to home.
That's such a nice road but always concerned with cops
Hopefully more warmish days to come.
TOTim thought about Dover for a late season perch feed but with the wind stuck closer by and was in camera mode.
Dover is often warmer than around the GTA so it's a good spot and then head over to Long Point along the lake there. Indeed an ton of bikes out.
