Where and what was the closes call you've had that scared the crap out of you

I was on a fast twisties run and hitting a left hand corner. A big one when some ****hole in an f150 coming toward me came in to my lane mid corner to try and force me to crash

I was on my way to fork of the credit and on terra cotta road i was doing a left turn. My turn was a bit too wide and i went off the road. I didnt brake at all and just held the handle bars very tight and kept going. I finally came back on to the road but over compensated to the opposite lane for a second. Just felt lucky that here was no car coming from the other direction. Somehow i wasn't panicking while all of this was happening. All i was thinking is: uh oh, here i go. Hope the crash wont be too bad cuz i dont wanna spend much to fix anything.

Edit: now to think back, it was a rookie mistake. When i felt the turn was a bit wide, i looked at the edge instead of where i was supposed to go.

Had a millisecond "ah *****" moment today on 401 riding back from holidays. Doing about 130 crossing back to right lane after passing, front tire found a nice hot slippery tar snake and I could feel the traction go for just the shortest moment. Long enough to send a quick hit of adrenalin though. Memories of wet streetcar tracks :-(

Earlier today, got onto DVP from 401 EB. Crawling traffic as usual so I decide to get off at York Mills while everyone else tries to merge out of the ending lane. The exit wasn't far and it was apparent that everyone else was trying to merge onto the DVP so I moved onto the shoulder to get out of the way and off the DVP faster. As I'm approaching the exit a subaru intentionally swerves into the shoulder to cut me off and/or scare me. This just pi$$ed me off more than anything. Sure, I wasn't supposed to be on the shoulder but what he did was reckless and idiotic.

Just get off the 401 onto the 404 north. I look behind me for a second to make note of where traffic is behind me, and as soon as I turn around a very small deer, or a big rabbit runs across the road infront of me.
It was small enough that my bike would just run right over it and not crash, but still scared me.

You must have seen a "Bumper", that you thought was too close... cross between Bambi and Thumper. Bwah hahaha

Getting ready to fill my tank, I put my right foot down and slips on a puddle of oil.

Forgot about the Taste of the Danforth several years ago and took a side street to get around it. Bumper to bumper traffic on a side street, cars parked on both sides, typical Toronto. Guy in front stops, car full of screaming kids, and another car comes up from the back and snuggles right up. Twit in the front decides to back up and starts pushing me backwards, doesn't look around doesn't hear the horn guy behind me is unable to move. One of the kids got Dad's attention.

Heading downtown early one Sunday on a cool spring day with just a bit of dew on the ground. Heading west on Dundas just before Broadview when my back tire tried to pass me on the tracks. I just gawk like a moron and then it just sort of resolved itself. Had I reacted I probably would have braked and gone down.

I had one close call on Derry road and Torbram Rd. Was riding behind a fellow rider and we we're in the left lane coming to a red light, i was side by side with a car slowing down and my buddy was pretty much stopped at the light already while i was just dropped behind said car's door when he decided to cut me off and go between me and buddy, that was my first ever experience like that on a bike so i naturally freaked at the guy and he was like DUH what did i do and i just went around him and joined my buddy again. The next one was on 16th Ave and Bathurst i beleive, we were all stopped at the light and i was in the left lane, light changed green and we took off, i was by myself this time and there was an old lady making a avery late right turn into the right lane and i was right by her side, my whole bike and my *** could be seen but she has to get over to the left lane cause i dunno, she's the only one that has to be somewhere, she slowly comes into my and i had nowhere to go, median to my left and a big pick up in front of us, i actually felt everything tnese up and i actually grabbed the front brakes real hard not once but twice and locked up everything and i was looking at her and shes looking at me and she has no clue what shes doing to me, for the life of me i wanted to follow her and kick the crap outta her car and give her **** but i just let her pass me and slowly came up beside her and waved at her like gee thanks lady can you show me the way to a washroom now

Reminds me... guy was there in June with one, complaining it didn't have the power that his 929 did. But he had the TCS turned up to 8............................. of 8 settings.

Almost rear ended a van that decided to do a passenger stop off at finch in the right lane on yonge street, about 3 feet after the intersection. I'm glad I had a feeling that the driver would stop. Idiot didn't signal nor were his break lights working. Thankfully there was no one on my left, I swerved and honked, scaring him so he actually began driving with the passenger half way out the side door.

This morning on the Bayview extension headed towards Rosedale I encountered a stopped black honda vehicle on the shoulder who suddenly made a U-Turn rather fast

I had to brake hard and swerve to the next lane. I was behind the traffic as it is shown on this google streetview image.

Not the sexiest bike, but I don't care... it's like the sweaty, insatiable, college girl that everyone dismissed as a butterface but you knew to be a sex-crazed party machine with a fetish for sticky hair, behind closed doors. If you're still nitpicking about her finer points, maybe you should just admit that you're gay.
