Lovely out sunny and 10 - only one other rider at the Forks



big south wind bringing the warmth...got up to 11.5 on gauge on the way up...8.5 earlier



that was fun...even the kids is going out to movie on his. Still 11 showing on the bike gauge. Gets dark so early.

Short but sweet ride today. Normally I wouldn't mention it.
 
Went from da 'bridge to the BPT and back, just to say that I did.

Was out riding today in the west end. 10 degrees and barely any wind. I'd be a fool not to :cool:.
Man, it felt good! So much cheaper than going to a shrink ;), but I think this will be it for the next 3 months or so...
Saw about half a dozen other bikes during my 1.5hr ride. Good times.

There is an El Nino in place and likely to get stronger..this puts us in the way of warm air coming up from the Gulf.
Voila - riding days.
Short periods of warm windy days.
 
Ran from Colborne on hwy 2 out to Napanee yesterday. Temperature kept hovering around 3.5 to 7 C. Not another bike in sight though. Finally got to wash the K bike so she's ready to take a nap for a few months if it gets too cold. Great day.
 
Kicking myself for not getting out in the mild temps yesterday. Was fortunate to be able to get out today. A 120km ride, chilly, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Im still out regularly in the Brampton area. Ive seen a few people out but not to many

I assume you have a clause to wait out a snowstorm if it occurs at that time?
 
The last 24 hours have made for some awesome riding, though I admit I need to sort out a solution to keep my toes warmer after 30+ minute highway runs.

The gloves and the jacket liner really help with winter riding, as does wool underclothes. I used to use Widder heated gloves until they exited the market. Warm 'n Safe was well reviewed on ADVrider, so that's what I'm running with now.

My DL650 has no fairing protection to help with winter wind-chill, so I'm also leaning towards picking up their heated pant liners and perhaps heated socks. Mmmm.
