when does every one stop riding??

hmmm.....its 4 degrees, feels like -2, no heated gear just Under Armour.

Should I ride or should I not??.....**** it, ending off the week but my balls will probably be numb.

Winter gloves have been deployed. S'fine.

Its all I need too. I had liner gloves under my regular gauntlets but after 50km on the highway and getting blasted by the wind my fingertips were tingly. Everything else was fine. I love my UA cold gear, from the outside even with a Dainese race fit jacket I look like its any normal day.

What about Hippo Hands? Or equivalents?

Black ice this morning on the 427/407 ramp. be careful in the mornings out there.

I think that's what the Harley guy I saw had, they looked like a huge sock covering his forearms/hands. He probably thought I was crazy when I zipped past in sport gear.

Apparently they go right over the controls, levers etc. Just slide your gloved hand inside.

you need something to keep them off the front brake lever in the wind or you could warp the rotor with constant brake application. Coat hanger ghetto fix will work...

Ah...did not think of that. Moose hand guards prolly do the trick?

Okay, that was a little cold.

Bike coughed up a small cloud of blue smoke after sitting outside all day.

Arctic air associated with the polar vortex will lunge into the North Central United States early next week and will expand southward and eastward to affect about 200 million people as the week progresses.

Prepare to genuflect to our chilly arctic lord. The vest was on level 2 yesterday. Not too bad, just need to start plugging in the gloves now. Thought I saw brine trails on Dundas, though it could be gravel/concrete trucks weeping crud.

I used to push the season long into very cold days.
This year, it just isn't fun because my new bike puts power down in a different way.
Rolling on slowly does not make a very exciting ride.
It's a little boring and not fun at all.

Unless we get a +10 day, I'm out this year.
Maybe I should buy a duel sport for beginning and end of season.

I recommend that highly. Should I go on..blah blah DR650 blah........? Seriously, is good.

I specifically like the built in speed jumps.

Was hoping for one more good weekend but I haven't seen it. I was busy for the last three weeks so I couldn't ride :angry2: I have my Gerbings gloves and jacket for this weather to keep toasty warm. Now that the weather has turned bad, I think I'm going to have to put her away.

BTW, Brafasco has Milwaukee heated cordless jackets on sale $170. They run for 6 hours on 1 charge. Sure makes a difference.
