What's for dinner?

Another Caesar salad here, this one similar and with fresh garden cherry tomatoes plus garden onion and stalk.

Here's a wok stir fry from the fresh garden Asian vegetables. I'll back off the sauce ingredients next time (it's mostly water too); very healthy and enjoyable.

I'm eating lots of fresh food from the garden. Here's Fresh garden cucumber with pepper, salt and vinegar plus fresh garden cherry tomatoes.

Prosciutto with fresh baked cheese biscuits and herb butter. They are Red Lobster label biscuits (with extra cheese)

Fresh garden Chinese bok choy and cherry tomatoes. I added a bit of salad dressing for a salad. Many people don't realize that a number of Chinese greens can be eaten raw.

This was very tasty; fresh garden salad. no lettuce here, instead two types of Chinese greens, onions and stalks, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, ground 4 peppercorn, salt, premium herb olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette and cashews. All the vegetables were fresh from the garden.

Great, now I have an escargot craving and finding them done well at restaurants is rare.
 
I've started back on escargot regularly this last year

For the meat lovers! I recently did another beef back ribs grill here and it came out great. I salted the ribs the night before and liberally used a lot of dry spice rub. I grilled the ribs under water trays indirect on the Weber Summit at ~ 240 F for 5 hours for a late lunch. I smoked the ribs at the start for 40 minutes with mostly cherry and apple woods, plus a bit of hickory. Then I applied Misty Mountain national BBQ competition award winning sauce. Highly recommended. Here are the beef ribs on the Weber Summit grill with the dry rub mid way through the cook; it makes me want to make some dry rub beef ribs too

Found this place while looking for farm animals for my 3 yr old grandson Harley.
Their prepared meals are unreal. But not cheap. I had a bison meat pie last night for dinner that was out of this world. And a striploin beef steak the night before that was also very good. They have lots of selection of odd meats for sale.
If you are lucky, you can see the herd of 40 bison while you are there.Oakridge Acres

I think I might send the wife out to catch me some fresh Bass or Walleye for supper.
 
I made nopales tacos the other day. Cactus paddles, cut into strips and sautéed. Really unusual taste, lots of fibre, kind of like asparagus with a bit of a tang. I made a bunch of bbq pulled mushrooms from some king oysters and they went with the cactus paddles really well for a very tasty vegan meal. I’ll be making the pulled mushroom dish again as it’s pretty versatile and very tasty. Next time maybe with some sweet and sour sauce perhaps.

The cactus paddles assaulted me 3 times. Getting rid of the last remaining spines takes a bit of skill. Scraping down the paddle with a sharp knife works really well

Pretty good.
Much better than the frozen ones that I've had in the past.

Forgot to take pics, but tonight was out biggest summer garden harvest so far. Cukes, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, green onions, arugula, 3 lettuces, kale and a touch of peppery nasturtium in the salad. Desert had fresh from the garden blackberries, strawberries and raspberries.

The edible proteins available in my yard are ample but not in my diet (doves, squirrel, raccoon, rabbit, skunk and possum), had to make do with home made Italian hot sausage and regular hamburgers.
 
What really? And how does that taste? Is there more to it or just slap them on the grill?
Firm fruits like peaches, pineapples, and apples grill up nicely on their own. Set the Q as hot as possible to grill them quickly.

I also add them, rasins and grapes, onto my kebab skewers and into roasted veggie mixes.

How do you still have arugula? All mine has gone to seed. Can you continually sow it through the season?
