It's not often that I agree with what our Provincial Liberal government does but to I really have no objections based on what I've read so far.

Not sure what the big deal is here.....

No big deal. There is porn all over the internet now. Times have changed. It is our governments job to get ahead of the curve. Get 'em young. Because parents are fall down. Not anybody around here but, you know, other people.

Just because we do it, doesn't mean we can freely discuss it. There needs to be a certain level of decency.

Btw Joe is that the Mexican flag?
Lol, just kidding man

Yes, once again I fail at delivering sarcasm. Seriously thinking about deleting that component of my portfolio.

I learned about sexual organs in school when I was in grade 5. They split the class up into boys and girls and had female students with a female teacher and same for guys. There was no real talk of sex, just more an explanation of what your body will be going through and puberty.

Full sex ed where you watch "the miracle of life" and put condoms on wood shlongs wasn't until highschool. I think starting at grade 1 is too young and don't think they should be teaching about anal sex as abstinence in grade 7. They poop from there, exit only.

Funnily enough, someone else asked that. I had them custom made. It's the Ace of Bastone, from an Italian deck of cards. The same significance as the Ace of Spades ♠ here.
I wonder if we can get Lemmy to do a song about it....

I think it was grade 5 for my intro stuff as well but that included some information on reproduction not just anatomy and puberty.

I don't believe the curriculum would advocate anal sex as abstinence. Merely that it is a thing, some people do it, and there are risks. Exit only is your opinion, but not a universally accepted fact. Some folks enjoy a drive down a dirt road.

Sure you aren't naive enough to believe that some kids are doing 'stuff' in grades 8 an 9. Should those kids be equipped with some sort of familiarity with the risks and risk mitigation techniques? Or wait till after to tell them what they should have done?

Maybe i'm old school, but isn't this the job for a parent to be teaching their kids?

^ I agree. I got the sex talk from my parents before I really cared to know about sex. They just talked about it like it wasn't taboo, just taught me to make the right decisions.
Yes this happened to me as well. "Correct decisions" is bang on. In other words don't get a broad pregnant. The rest is all science. Do they need to know what getting it in the ass is??? No. Should they be aware of the human anatomy? Of course. Let them see the female anatomy and how pregnancy happens. Let them become aware of how life changes if you do. Do they need a video of a woman crowning ? Nope (even though somehow it's like porn to them lol)

But as noted by others and I agree parents need to step up and take charge of this. Or they could have a 13 year old pregnant girl with HIV. Yes a little offside on the comment yet happens all the time.
