What kinda boots do you wear?

I'm new to the motorcycle scene and looking for a pair of affordable, comfortable, safe motorcycle boots for dual-sporting. Some recommend boots from Marks Work Warehouse or Canadian Military Issue Gore-Tex Combat boots. Others say go with a certified motorcycle boot even though they are not comfortable, but for safety, like these: http://www.alpinestars.com/Web_Goretex_Boot/pd/np/113/p/233507.html

I really have my eye on these though: http://www.heroarmysurplus.com/cana...p-1234.html?osCsid=0nq2j658vjjtcsukvrvgug2406

So what kinda boots do you wear?

I'm wearing a some kind of Gaerne race type boots right now.

I ride on the street though, the plastic protection on the front can serve well, when rocks are thrown up by tires.
They also have a bracing system to help prevent your ankle from giving out.

Laces can be problematic if they are floating close to your bike's chain.
The combat boots would be more comfortable when you're off the bike.

There are trade offs and you need to make the choice, based upon how you are going to use the boot.

I have two pairs. The X-Square are really comfortable and provide good protection when I'm just out and about. Wear them to work and wear them all day and they are really comfy. The X-Cube I just ordered and haven't received them yet but they are waterproof and provide much better protection.

Who said motorcycle boots aren't comfortable?!

I have and occasionally wear Sidi B2 boots and there are classified as dual purpose but mostly just ride in skate shoes, more comfortable, still a rubber sole and I prefere the breathability

I wear ones that go on my feet.

Now I have a question, what kind of tooth paste do you guys use? This is very important information for my biker lifestyle.

Alpinestars SMX-5 (GO GO POWER RANGERS!) for the street and Tech 3s for the dirt.

I've been wearing these for 4 years now, love'em.
(If you think they look silly, your jeans cover most of the boot)

Not telling you where I got them before your all wearing them! I will say that they were under $200

I like to switch it up.. you know, give my taste buds a curve ball every now and then first thing!

Currently I have a tube of Colgate total. It's white.. very boring. I need some colour and sparkles in my next toothpaste.

Steel toe work boots:

Right now I got these, easy to put on and take off and look decent when you're off the bike...

Looking into getting something more suitable for work though, so probably gonna pick up a pair of these very soon...

I wear my combat boots all the time, at work, when I go out, and when I ride. Be sure to tuck the laces in at the top.

Off road I wear A* Tech 3s

I have a pair of Joe Rocket Nitro casual boots for the street. And a pair of TCX Competzione's for the track.

That's what I wear too. Dainese Torque Out boots. I bought them at Rider's Choice. They are narrow though, so if you have wide feet, they won't fit you. Otherwise, I find them very comfortable to walk around in.

Can't you just leave a pair of shoes at work to change in to?

Thought about it, Done it a few times, but really I just want something a little more casual when I go out with my girl, ride to work, short trips around town etc...
