What do you guys do when the bike is in the shop

This iz bizz R. I was talking to a guy, 2013 Honda CRF 250. He couldn't get spare turn signal bulbs from Honda. Apparently it's a new style bulb. Is Honda using a new style c/s seal now. Is this a new way to bone people? You meet the nicest people on a Honda. These new buzzinez practices could change that. Let's hope not.

Oh, what do I do when my bike is in the shop?

Use my other bike. :)

Try signing up for dirtriding or track that includes bike in their program.

Wow im ****** with Honda, just got off the phone... last week they told me aug 26th now they are telling me the 30th...

Starting to wish i never bought this pos, suzuki is calling my name....

Ouch that sucks major balls!! Hopefully they can speed it up. Did you check with other dealers if they have the part to speed it up?

I hear there are bikes always at the Timmies on King near the 403.

I've walked by king and Caroline a few times and seems most nights there are bikes at the timmies. Doesn't look like they do much though; just stand around and talk.
I might stop by someday on my bike.

Suzuki ain't any better...nobody will carry all the parts for any bike. I get parts back ordered for my gsxr too and they're super common.

Date a girl who rides and then take her bike when yours is being repaired.

+1

Last time I had to bring my bike to the shop, I tried to drag my knee on her 250 with her on the back screaming in my ears.

Like others have said, go get your bike and ride it. Get them to commit in writing to the oil seal replacement under warranty, in case it doesn't show up before May 24th (stranger things have happened). It's probably a big problem with those bikes so they're low on parts. However they may refuse to warranty anything else in the engine if you ride away with a known leak. There's maybe six riding months left in the warranty period, so you can judge the risk of something else failing during that time and what's it's worth to you to ride right now.

You probably didn't lose 0.7L of oil or there would have been an oil stain where you park. That 2.7L capacity is probably for a dry engine after assembly, not a refill amount. Even if you did lose all that oil, it took 6000km. Just check the oil regularly and top it up as necessary.

During an oil change, not all the oil will drain, Some will always stay in the bike. Proper fill up is to use the sight glass and proper measuring instructions.

You've got that first rider itch....believe me it goes away. There go days when i dont even look at the bike because i'm enjoying other hobbies.

Or when you just did like 4500km in 7 days to visit some places....**** my bike, I'm just going to stay in the house this week-end, doing nothing but watching movies.

Dillinger. As a newb, you will find yourself confused and upset many many more times in your riding future.
Your first mistake was bringing the bike back to a dealer to fix anything.
They will pay for repairs done correctly by another shop if still under guarantee.
Better yet, get a few books, research stuff on the internet, buy some basic tools, and get this stuff done yourself.
Besides, anybody who trusts a dealership to do work correctly is waiting for disaster. Countless faulty repairs from dealers have left many people skeptical.

If you had researched, you would have found out that a leaky output shaft seal will never ever "PISS" out oil enough to drain your engine of oil or dump enough oil on the rear tire to cause a crash.

You need to calm down, go get your bike from the dealer, tell them to call you when the parts arrive, and then tell them that you need this work done while you wait, when said part gets in.

Good luck my friend.

I can't wait to hear you stories about bad drivers in the GTA.
