You're lucky that race direction doesn't understand their own rule book.

how so?

whoever did the original install just put the clutch stack back in the same as oem. You have to ditch the bottom most engine plate and make sure 2 of the fibre plates(they are different) go in first.
stm?

The structure of the rule book is written so that in each class:

- A is required
- B is required
- C is allowed
- D is allowed
- E is allowed

There is no mention of a slipper clutch being allowed in LE. When questioned, race direction has stated that a slipper is permitted despite the structure of the rule book. I'm not satisfied with the explanation or the inconsistency in the rules.

The rulebook is completely silent on the topic of clutches, the way I read it, except for BOTT where it says you can.

If it doesn't say you can't ...

600, superbike, BOTT all state slippers are allowed

Yes, there are a few classes where it says you can. Lost Era, and a few others, are silent on the matter. I still say: nowhere does it say you can't.

Im disappointed in you.

Any rule book that included all the things you can't do would be thousands of pages long.

Why bother saying you can do anything if simply not mentioning it implies that you can?

Some rulebooks have explicitly listed the things you are allowed to do and made a blanket statement that if it doesn't say you can, then it means you can't.

The SOAR rulebook does not do that.

So why does BOTT/Superbike/600 say a slipper clutch is permitted if simply not mentioning it means it's permitted?

I didn't write the rules ... Obviously in this case if the intent was not to prohibit them, it would have been more consistent for the rulebook to simply not mention them. (Who is going to disassemble your clutch to find out what's inside it anyhow?)

If you think this is bad, try interpreting codes and standards in the real world.

(No slipper clutch in my fizzer ... Never had the need for it ...)

If you choose to ignore a pattern that's clearly visible with how the rules are written then say "it doesn't say you can't" then there's nothing more to discuss here.

Put it all back together with fresh paint for bogie last weekend. Now to apply all the required stickers and sponsor logos. I have a new armourbodies tail that will be painted black but I didn't get it in time to paint it with the rest of my stuff and don't have time before the national.

The black belly pan looks pretty awesome in the light with red pearl in it and the tail will be the same. I had terrible lighting so the pearl is a bit uneven but good enough for a bellypan on a race bike.

And a close up to see that it actually turned out pretty good for my second paint job with no wet sanding/polishing.
