What did you do in your garage today..?

Put fuel in the 300XC to make sure it's good to go before riding starts shortly and fuel was leaking from between petcock and tank. It did this last Spring as well and a quick tighten of the screws fixed it but it didn't work this time. Pulled the petcock to find there's no actual seal, just kind of a plastic on plastic pressure fit. Will hit up a local store for a rubber o-ring to put between the two which hopefully will solve that for pennies.

Something felt off last time I took the bike out for a ride…it wasn’t steady or sure footed and I couldn’t put my finger on it.

Checked the tire pressures today…14psi in the back and 20psi in the front…..🤦🏻‍♂️

Now all back to 36 but it’s raining so can’t take it out.

Just in case it helps anyone. The bar retaining bolt insert for a KTM Super Adventure is the same as for a Moose Racing 7/8” handguard bolt kit. Approx $10ish from Fortnine and I now have 3 spares just in case one of these goes walkabout again.

The saga with the levers is not finished yet. I can say that Pazzo (the company) have been amazing though.

Well.... you sort of still can. As to soft tires, I was surprised by what I thought was a lot of flex from my old Honda but a bunch more air fixed it.

Mostly car stuff. Swapped winter tires off on two. Put them both up on the ramps and buttoned up the plastic engine protector on on and tied down a loose heat shield on the other. Put the bike on a charger for a while.

Got the track bike put back together. The fairing repairs and paint came out better than I wanted, because every time I make the fairings too nice I crash the damn thing. It'll be covered in bugs soon enough, but maybe I'll go rub a handful of gravel on it first.

Maybe we should start a new thread…what did you do on your property today?
Great idea, I'll let someone else lead as I'm not doing anything today...

Well I finally called it. Sled season is over (never really started) so I swapped the snows off the car.

Used my ATV more than my sled this winter. 3 sled days is a low… the only highlite of the sled season was using my kid’s scary summit 850 for a day.

We had 12 perfect snow condition days, all in a row, then gone with rain. I rode 6-7 of those days. Didn't have much Spring maintenance to do at least.

A $0.50 o-ring seems to have fixed my 300XC's leaky fuel petcock.

Where I sled, the good days start the last week of November and end late March. I can’t recall another year where trails north of the watershed were closed Jan and Feb. or a year where there was so little snow I could ride an ATV into the bush mid winter.

Not selling my sled yet. It’s down to lake running in So Ontario.

Not selling my sled yet.
I'll be dragging my vintage sled to meets in the summer if it comes to that but it's hardly worth selling. That said I know a lot of real sled heads that have given it up.

Be safe out there dont forget to do your T-CLOCS before a ride.

I’m down to a very basic sled - the KLR equivalent of a sled. My late model 550 Polaris fanny can’t run with the big dogs, (max 115kmh for me). Ok by me as the days of running hard on trails are behind me.

My upside is when there’s no snow, I can still run a fanny over the ice on lakes and rivers.
