What did everyone buy at the show this weekend?

Problem is, she likes simplicity in gear, and all the ladies' jackets are "blinged" out and have real girly designs, which she hates.
She also wants leather, she saw a nice textile jacket or two but she's insisting on leather.
Still have some time before the season starts, so we'll see.

Similar tastes to my niece, then. It took me all of 20 minutes, at GP Bikes, to find a nice, simple textile jacket she likes well enough, that she wants to wear it every day.

Keep away from the Icon display, and you won't be seeing any tarted-up girlie stuff. Technic and A* both make some very good textile women's gear. Oxford has some good stuff too. There are other brands out there too.

Got a front pilot C2 for $130 tax in from Zendo, basically same price as Royal distributing but no tax... Aug 2011 rubber so no old stock. Sister in law got a 800 Vulcan from Bens Motorcycles. Man is she happy. Paid $8 for a pizza slice with a pop and doritos.

Walked in with a pocketful of cash. Walked out with a pocketful of cash. Picked up a pre-ordered set of tires for my bro from Pete's booth. Nice guys.

Correct - just plain custom ear plugs.

Those folks had great prices. We arrived at opening yesterday, made that booth our first stop and at 10:04 there were six people waiting for fitting. All three of us went for the headphones - Sennheiser CX-300 with custom fitting for $150, can't beat it as the headphones are over $100 by themselves anywhere you look. The added bonus is that I can now have them make some custom tips for my Etymotics (or whatever else I like) for $85 as they keep the moulds on file.

Pete's prices were good - bought a set of Pilot Powers from him and then stumbled upon a pair of Puma gore-tex boots for $65 at an unlikely spot. This was the best the show has been in a long time.

I think Kahuna (?) had a NEW 2011-year KLR for $5500. What a steal.

I picked up tires I'd pre-ordered from Pete's. Was tempted by a few other things, but no purchases.

GP bikes was good, 20% off all current stock.
