What are you currently playing?

I preordered Metroid Prime and of course the Amazon shipping is delayed.
Nice, looks like a good game. For the Switch I prefer to have the physical media instead of all downloaded games.
I'm currently playing on Switch.
WOT Blitz - Digital
Pokémon Sword - Cartridge
Legend of Zelda - Cartridge

I just got back into FF14 on PS5 so that is now sucking a bit of time..

Bernadette is trying to teach me backgammon and cribbage. Springtime please!

Played a lot of Backgammon with my dad when he was alive, fond memories.

Far Cry 6. This game is nuts. I’ve hijacked 2 helicopters and a tank so far. Killed baddies with a laser sighted cd player that plays The Macarena as it spins up and a nail gun. Done missions with a pet crocodile and blown up horses with grenade launchers.

What a bunch of nutty fun this is.

Tried out the VR2 for PS5 today while driving Gran Turismo 7….phenomenal graphics and stupidly realistic.

So much so that I’m ready to hurl even after I played over an hour ago.

Highly recommend if you don’t get motion sickness.

It gets better with time. Best approach is to take off the headset early when you start to feel lightheaded/queasy, rather than trying to power through, then jump back in when you have your legs back under you.

Some prefer it, some don't, but for me, playing a racing sim on a monitor now feels flat and dull...

Did you get the Kingslayer? What realm are you on?

Was on eranikus alliance. Killed Yogg on 10/25, guild decided to transfer to bigger server. But riding season starts in 5 weeks so I’ll be teaching on raid nights. Not worth it to pay for a transfer.

Oh it was def awesome! I’d love to have it also.

But now need a PS5, and the VR2 so that’s about $1500 just to get into it. Not a cheap hobby.

I want to get back into Elite Dangerous. The learning curve is a bit high. The game has been around in one form or another since 1984.
It supports voice attack and supposedly VR. There's a company that's records lots of stars' voices for use with voice attack.

WoW Dragonflight (just quit WotLK)
Hogwarts for PC

Looking forward to Last of Us: Part 1 on PC in March. I’ve played it twice on ps4 previously.
Started WoW when it was still vanilla, played for years, maybe until the Panda's.
Recently tried it again with a controller (w/ mods), it was good but sadly did not hold my attention like it used to.
Still consider it a great game and my wife still plays it.

For MMO's I am now playing FF14 on PS5 and it is also very good, I have Hogwarts but have not started it yet.

Lol sounds like something that happened to me. Use to play with some work buddies, they were all on a different server so I transferred over my main to Draenor, we all played for a while then they all transferred to another realm /facepalm.... So I've been stuck on this low pop server now. I use to be on Antonidas which was much better.

I re subbed back just before DF dropped. It's been fun. But yeah riding season is on the horizon.

It's even worse on a PC if you go all in. Graphics cards alone can cost between $1600 and $2700 for the latest and greatest. Add a full sim pit with a direct drive wheel etc. and you're looking at a sizeable chunk.

On the flip side, if you already have an okay gaming PC you can add a Quest 2 for about $500 and also have access to the extensive Quest game library. This was how I jumped on to the slippery slope...

For a brief period I looked at setting up a “cockpit” for flying simulators/games. After looking at the costs and the real estate in the house required for something that really has to be more or less permanent with rudder pedals, throttle, yoke etc I realized that not being assassinated in my sleep by the wife was a better choice.

I've never had much interest in VR but the new one from Sony does look very interesting.
I gave up on PC gaming for the most part, First due to the fact I sit in front of one much of my day for work and second I can't seem to keep up with all the changes and upgrades that are being brought out. I'm getting old and just want to sit on the couch and press the button on the controller.. LOL
