Ruining the paint on someones car, for taking up an extra space which would likely be filled before you got there anyway is the work of a coward.

I wouldnt damage his car though, nothing warrants damaging someones car, its so expensive these days to get decent bodywork.

but seriously though, paint repairs are $$$$$$$. It would get the message through to the guy but at the same time, having had to deal with a hit and run and dents in my car door, id say it stupid to do that much **** to someones property for so little.
Preventing one person from taking one parking spot isnt worth thousands in body damage (cause re-buffing, repainting..mostly if you keyeing the guy's quarter panel...money adds up REAL fast)

Car keyers are **********, too. People can't seem to maturely deal with anything (OTHER PEOPLE/CONFRONTATION/PROBLEMS/INCONVENIENCES) these days.
