My Suzuki Vstrom 1050 also has Hill Hold Assist. I believe it is automatically applied for 30 seconds if the bike is on an uphill. 2 taps of the front brake and it is disabled.
I Found it to be helpful the few time that I noticed it kicked in.

Thanks again. I believe mine will hold for up to 5 minutes now. I have to apply it manually, but it automatically disengages when I start moving.
I've only used it the one time on a very steep hill and it performed very well, I can see it being useful when required and I like that I have control over it so no surprises. The technology on this bike is impressive but never intrusive.

I wasn't a fan right away with the look of this bike, but it grew on me. Your windshield it much bigger then the vStrom and seating position seems lower or front end it higher.
Coming from the HD Fatbob 114 I was used to the rectangle headlight, so that helped. But like many I was not 100% set on the looks, in time it grew on me and now it just looks the way it looks and I like it.Nice
