You do know that Mayan is not a religion rightFunny how people who are not even the same ethic background as the Mayans believe this stuff.
I thought people in Christian/Catholic faith don’t believe in other religions?
Maybe the media is all over this so they can distract from the real problem the you don’t see coming.
Look hard and maybe you’ll see that problem. It’s going to effect all of us. It’ll be hard for most of the sheep out there to see it.

stop stressin, we'll just print more money to get out of any future trouble.
I dunno why you're laughing at "preppers"....in the end, he has supplies that he will use anyways...Hate to tell you this but "prepping" is called "living" everywhere else in the world. Its only in the "live for the moment" North american society that having food for a few months is seen as "whacko"
ALWAYS..........humanity dun goofed and is evil.......humans must pay, please, please, .....pretty please bring on the apocalypse
Stocking months of food makes sense in a subsistence economy, which is not "everywhere else in the world". And because we don't operate a subsistence economy, it makes no sense here unless you're watch too many YouTube videos like BLUE KAWI.
Well if u have some time read up on a bit of astronomy. We are constantly bombarded by space fragments. Sometimes we come close to large meteors. If my history is correct, we've been struck by massive astroids before, cue dinosaurs. Its all about #s, keep playing the numbers & u're bound to hit it. Do i live in constant fear? No, but i like to think "what if?"
I was just disagreeing with the notion that hoarding was some kind of social imperative.
But even if you look at it from the perspective of surving a global catastrophe, the merits of "prepping" is equal to the real risk of the catastrophy actually happening. Since the risk is so close to nil, I think preppers are a joke.
Obviously the Mayan end of days thing is ridiculous. The asteroid strike isn't all that much better. How many hundreds of millions of years ago did we get hit, and will our fate be the same as the dinosaurs if an asteroid hits again? Global economic crisis? Maybe. Climate devastation? Perhaps. Global pandemic? Sure, could be. But none of the preppers are responding to the actual threat level IMO. They are living out their fantasy of self-reliance in a future apocalyptic world. It's a cultural thing, which is why I would expect the vast majortiy of preppers come from the You Ess Aye, and they are probably all card carrying members of the NRA. They're not in touch with reality. At some level, they are HOPING that the apocalypse will come in their lifetimes.
Seriously? tell that to people affected by hurricane sandy/katrina or the thousands of other natural disasters around the world and throughout history. Better to have it and not need it then the other way around.
p.s. 8 min to go, i think we're gunna make it
The apocalypse as predicted by nearly every religion is not the end of the world. It is the end of the world as we know it. .......
Surely you are not comparing a hurricane to a paranoid delusion about the end of the world.
So, you're only a prepper if you are preparing for the end of the world?
