Lets just answer the waving questions once and for all and no more

1. Yes it's nice to wave and get one back
2. It is not law that we have to wave back so if you don't get a wave back GET OVER IT!
3. Some people wave all the time, some wave sometimes, some never wave. That is the reality again GET OVER IT!
4. It has nothing to do with make of bike it is a personal decision and everyone is different.

Done what else is there to say!?

A guy on a SS nodded at me once, why was he to lazy to wave? Why are all SS riders so lazy and wont wave?

Wave threads are the backbone of GTAM.

I've only been riding for 10 years, but I'm all waved out. I no longer feel bad for not waving back anymore and if the other rider takes offense to that then that is their problem. Same with boating.

Like ATGATT threads when it gets hot out.

I hear like if your are like a girl and you like see another girl like riding like on a bike i mean and like you wave, like most of them don't like wave back, especially if you are like soo much hotter than them.

Waving to other riders meant something years ago when there weren't many people riding motorcycles. Now everyone and their in-laws rides a bike. It's become too commonplace.

Agreed. I am more inclined to wave on a chilly commute at 6am in April, at the one or two other diehards I pass, than on a sunny July Saturday when every second or third vehicle is a weekend warrior on his man-toy.

I can count to Potatoe

+1 I tend to not wave so much now, I might lift a couple fingers up off the clutch lever, but that's about it.
But when it's pissing out rain, or very early or late season riding I'll acknowledge those guys as they aren't just out there to be cool, they are out there because of the passion.
I would wave even more in January or February but for some reason I never see other people out there...

Dear Diary (aka GTAM)

I waved at people and no1 waved back.

Is it because I ride a bicycle? :(

If we stop Waving threads, then those idiotic de/motivational posters have to go too. Fair is fair.

In the classroom part of my 1st riding course m1-->m2, the instructor explained waves and the type different riders provide. I think for SS he said they don't let go of the bars for fear of losing control and crashing. (it was funnier in the moment, kinda had to be there... :D)

RG, your post has me wondering..

1. Are my ex in-laws now riding?
2. If 1= "yes", then should I wave to them?
3. If 2= "yes", then do I use my whole hand, or just the one finger?

Hmmm.....
