Wasp almost killed me!

Last month I was riding around in Guelph and felt something hit my neck, thinking it was a rock I kept riding until I felt two stings on my stomach! When I was able to pull over I ripped off my jacket and shirt and a huge bee fell to the ground...hurt like hell! I hate bees!!

Had a bee somehow make it's way inside my visor. Scared the crap out of me but I just lift up the lid and out it went.

I hope I never have to experience this.

Sorry that happened to you but the image made me laugh out loud:D

I knew someone whose father died due to a bee sting. He had an anaphylactic reaction. Neck swelled up, and he suffocated. Not on a motorcycle.

That is scary. I remember once I was riding my bike and a thread was hanging loose right across the road. It was too late before I could see it and went through it. It started grazing against my throat and I had to make an emergency stop. Luckily the thread was not sharp. I still shiver thinking what would have happened if it was.

I haven't been stung by a bee yet, but something hit me in the throat doing 120 on a back road and i had to pull over i couldn't stop coughing.

Another time i was riding with the gf on the back and she didn't have her jacked zipped up all the way and something went down her shirt. She started panicking and was not holding on tight enough as we were about to go through a twisty section of highway 8 in Niagara. I told her to just squeeze her tits together to squish the bug, had a good laugh at that one.

This was all recorded on the gopro to always funny to watch and hear me just say "Squeeze em" while laughing.

2 years ago, a few minutes after i flipped the visor to cool off (it was a damp hot day and i was doing only about 60-70k), some big bug, dont know what it was but it was big. at least the size of a wasp or bigger hit me in the left eye. My eyes shut involuntary and after i pulled over, i couldnt open my eye for a good 5-10 minutes no matter how hard i tried. The muscles were just not responsive lol Ever since, i flip my visor open a little less lol But that was crazy. Also this year on 401, with the visor flipped, some small tiny bug flew into my eye, didnt think anything of it as it happens often with thoese little ones. I kept riding but my eye started tearing up more and more and after 20 minutes, it was completely red with blood. Went to shoppers, everyone thought i have pink eye. The redness and irritation lasted about a week as i kept cleansing it with the drops the doc gave me. Bottom line, bug are ********** lol

A few weeks ago a bee flew into my helmet and stung me right on the temple. The initial sting hurt, but that throbbing pain after was worse...it spread right across the left side of my head. At least with a bee you only get stung once.

A wasp hit me in the eye at low speed (maybe doing 15-20). I only realized it was a wasp when I saw it crawling inside my helmet, near my mouth.
I came to a quick, very undignified stop at an intersection (feet flapping all over the place) and it thankfully flew out.

While I was riding a wasp hit my windshield where then fell into my shirt.
(I was wearing a v neck) and stung me twice. I had to pull over quickly to get him outta there. **** hurt like hell.

Had a bee/wasp stuck between my temple and helmet , it stung me repeatedly until i was able to pull off and do the dance ( 5 stings). Crushed the bugger with my fingers and continued to feel the sting up to 2 hrs after that.

Had a bird's head stuck in the space between the windshield and the headlight. Pulled it off w/o stopping decapitating the poor animal, the body flew onto my face with the explosion of feathers and landed behind me.
The bird rode with me the whole day on the passenger seat trapped by my top case. Reminds me of the chicken ride where we tie rubber chicken on our bikes, except mine does not squeak. :)

On my last trip down to Pa we were on our way back from dinner in Lockhaven following a couple of cruisers ahead of us and the funny thing was the guy was wearing a yellow and black striped jacket looked like a bee himself with his jacket open and I notice he is slapping himself silly on his stomach... back... shoulders and I knew right away what was up.His riding partner had no clue what happened so when we got to the stoplight buddy jumps off his bike tosses his jacket aside and starts jumping on it as I am cracking up laughing at him.It was golden

LOL, stings hurt like hell and are 10x more uncomfortable if you're stuck riding with a stinger in you. The wind will irritate the spot that it stung for the next few hours.

Had it happen to me on a country road, doin a decent speed. Hot day, leather jacket was partially open. Felt like a stone hit me, a few seconds later, crazy pain on my chest. Stopped and ripped off the jacket, nothing. However, I had a nice red dot just above my nipple! Talk about hitting a sensitive spot...through my T-shirt!! I've been buttoning up and zipping up ever since, even on a hot day!

Haven't had a bee in my helmet in a while, but got splattered with bugs last weekend. While washing the bug juices off my gear I had the brilliant idea to install one of those ultrasonic bug-repellants on the handlebars. Unfortunately, a little googling revealed that those devices don't work. :(

Last week while riding in the mountains of NY state, I had my visor cracked open on the first notch (about 1 cm open space.) A bug just happened to hit the bottom edge of the visor, and I experienced the joy of wet bug splatter all over my cheek. Glad it wasn't a bee/wasp/hornet!
