Vice documentary: Black Bike Week

are you friggin kidding me ??? really ??? LOL

time for a mini-rant.

so now black people have their own bike week ? and here i thought bikers were bikers, and race/sex didnt really matter. you see everyone at Dover, from HA to thong man.

how can the people who put on this event even get away with the reverse discrimination ?
,
i just dont get some of this stuff. there are minority laws in place, there affirmative action hiring going on, theres the NAACP, BET..

you name it, they have it...

as an average white guy, everytime i hear of this crap, it gets me annoyed. why do they feel the need to segregate themselves when segregation was the very thing they wanted stopped ?

what the hell would Dr King. think about how todays 'AFRICAN AMERICANS " see themselves,or how they act. I dont think he'd be happy.

His dream was that one day, his children would live in a nation where they would not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their Character.

he wanted equality, but even a thing like the NAACP doesnt. just look at their name... lol the National association for the advancement of coloured people.

whats wrong with calling black people black ? i know lots of black people. none of which are from africa. ( ive asked them, lol )

so what happens if you see black people at dover next year ? tell them to **** off, and head to their own meet ? .

its the people that think up the Black week stuff that are the racists.. cool bikes are cool bikes.. doesnt matter who's riding it.

rant over.

You're clearly angry about something and hopefully your heart is in the right place, but you're doing something that I don't even think you're aware of. You speak of equality and that you're against segregation but the very language you use to explain yourself is very divisive, like when you said, "The blacks" later in the thread. Spoken like a true hillbilly lol. If that isn't otherness I don't know what is... and if you don't know what otherness is google it.

Formal segregation may have stopped but discrimination is still a daily occurrence and one's experience of that is very real. That's why people create groups, organizations and even rallies. It's a way of dealing with all of that. It all comes down to history. If you read enough history all your questions will be answered. If people want to celebrate 'Black History Month' and draw attention to the contributions made by that community, why do you even care? It's doesn't look like you'll be learning anything from it anyways.

You're right about calling yourself the "average white guy" because you definitely seem to fit the stereotype; clueless about the history of racism and the issues surrounding it and angry, but not even sure about what.

Do a little research before posting your uninformed and angry rants. Find out what the NAACP is all about and why and when it was formed. How you managed to bring a historic civil rights organization into a discussion of a bike rally is beyond me. Those who choose to segregate themselves are in the minority and it is to their own disadvantage. There's nothing we can do about that.

Just study your history, maybe read a sociology textbook, keep talking to your black friends and I guarantee you'll be less angry and lot less confused about what's going on, lol. People are evolving but you have to give it time. Change happens incrementally, it doesn't happen overnight. Why not try and rise above all of that, let it go and just focus on yourself. Just relax man before you give yourself a stroke...

Now back to the bikes!

Gotta be white, any shade of white. Everyone's welcome, as long as you're white.

Everyone is allowed, but its a white ride and all minorities will be made to feel uncomfortable.
Our president will be D :lmao:

OMG you are having a skinhead run the show.
Please post the videos.

ICON vest week. Problem solved. OK everyone, back to Old Navy.

Elitist crapola.......google it, self-righteous savior...lol.

Excellent attempt to be condescending, except that using a word and telling someone to "Google it" in the same sentence just means that you had to look it up yourself or had one of those "word of the day calendar" cute!

Myrtle Beach trashed, rocked by violence, during "Black Bike Week."

The “mainstream” is reporting that this was a very bad weekend for Myrtle Beach. The town was trashed, and violence was rampant. However, what the “mainstream” does not want anyone to know is the reason that this was such a bad weekend. It is because it was “Black Bike Week.”

Six deaths reported at Black Biker Week:

Interesting comment:

"I've been involved with motorcycling for around 50 years now, and if I've learned one thing, its that niggers and motorcycles do not mix. Period. They cannot ride, they cannot hold their liquor, and they can't be allowed to congregate in any numbers over two without a riot ensuing. Mix all three of those things, and you get the inevitable result of major TNB. At least there was some goodness though."

I don't understand black _____ as well.
Same goes for women's _______ why can't things be just _______

All want equality but want to be distinctively special

Same with gay pride. There is a pattern here that's pretty obvious; all these groups are discriminated against. In the past it was official discrimination, now it's more random and uncommon. But the history still carries a lot of influence in present culture. You don't have to like it, but it's human nature. We are defined in large part by our histories.
To have a white history month, or men's day, or straight pride parade, would be like gloating. It's not like whites, or men, or straight people are in any way defined by some kind of past injustice.
Having said that, I don't think these special events are beneficial to these groups in the long wrong. They're identifying themselves with oppression in perpetuity. We will know when women achieve equality when we have a men's day, and nobody is offended. But I can't see that ever happening as long as they identify themselves with oppression (as real or imagined as it may be).

Same problem for "black beach week" (blackbeachweek.com) in Miami. Only Miami declares a pseudo martial law to control the violence.

De facto Martial law:

Maybe ppl were standing their ground?

If there was a 7 inch knife plunged into your heart and the blood is dripping down, will you feel better if the person holding the knife is black/white/brown etc...?

I am not sure what all of your threads prove.
Let's have a look at more glaring stats.
If you are a white female or a chile you should live in fear of white males between the ages of 20-40.
White males hold the #1 spots in:
1. rapists
2. serial killers
3. pedophiles
4. mass shooters

crime is crime don't matter is you are gay or straight male or female black or white a bullet does not discriminate and a knife will penetrate

Tuskegee Experiment

"On a happier note, the total of tips received by Myrtle Beach waiters, waitresses, and bartenders is expected to pour sixty-two cents into the local economy."

now thats some funny **** right there! :lmao:

Easy there Spike... First of all its not new it's been going on forever. BBW is just the nickname for the event. As the video showed the event first started back in 1980 called the Memorial Day Bike Fest. Its not just for blacks anyone can attend. Its a celebration of all bikes and riders. The reporter herself is white.

Black folks are pretty cool and welcome everyone no matter what color or race. As long as you're cool yourself and don't act the fool you could hang. Back in 1998 I went to a rally and it was amazing. I met white riders and asian riders at that event. Bikes for days, 1000's of bikes there and 1000's a biig ***'s.lol.... It's all good though

Of course some got drunk and things got a little crazy but no real trouble. To this day I've never seen so many different styles of bikes. It was heaven even thou I'm not a cruiser guy or stretched out Gixxer guy I could still admire all the custom jobs.

If you love a big *** and bikes then you'll have a blast. I only went that one time. I wanted to go again but my friends kept bailing on me when I tried to organize another trip.
