Maybe because black history was/is largley ignored in the educational system. By having a black history month it puts it in everybodys face which makes it hard to ignore/supress.

Maybe because black history was/is largley ignored in the educational system. By having a black history month it puts it in everybodys face which makes it hard to ignore/supress.
Within the last 3-4 years, those who are involved with black history month have been rallying to change it.
They think 'whitey' screwed them by declaring Feb as "Black History Month".
February is only 28 days long. Those involved want a month with 31 days.
Will anyone, anywhere, ever be, happy?
Seems small and petty. But don't you think there may be some truth behind why Feb. was chosen?
So I can understand why some would want to change it based on principal.
There are some states that have educational systems that don't acknowledge evolution.
You think its any different with the way history is taught?

Hey, don't make this thread about me.
I happened to know lots of white people born in Africa. White people from Botswana, Zimbabwe & South Africa.
Must be a hard time being a white guy now. Women are making fun of you & so are the minorities. You can't say anything because its racist or misogynistic, lol.
Another note, there's a black guy at my work, we mess around alot. He makes fun of my Asian ancestry & I make fun of his. I asked him if I call him a nig___ if he'd be mad. He said no, it all depends on context. My point is its all context & what you mean. You'll be able to see a racist person.

I'm not, but when you say "If anybody's in the know, it's me", and then you DON'T know about something that's been going on for a long time, you kinda lose credibility.
