Honestly in situations like that…you go to Poland, get married, and then return and file for paperwork immediately. When you’re separated your file gets prioritized.

Or do like many that I know…fly to Canada on a visitor visa, and just never leave.

Few of my friends did that, lived here, worked, paid taxes, then got married and are all citizens now.

that stuff always scares me, (which is why I avoid girls escaping war torn countries(ukraine) or socialism (venezuela))
Are they into you or just using your passport/bank account?

you're supposed to just get married after knowing a girl for 2 weeks?
If its more than that, then its a long distance thing which is also tricky...
 
I would suspect for every ' it worked out awesome ' stories , there are an equal amount that then had the mom move in, found out they were sending money home to people they didnt know , and after a decade they left with half your stuff

Well last night was epic, fell in love with this amazing mexicana in cambridge, she may have ruined gringas for me...
 
In all honesty, I can't even imagine losing my wife now to divorce or anything else. We make a good team, so there's that...

Not even sure I would bother dating again if anything happened. But for now, we're good.

Sometimes its cheaper to keep them then to divorce them.

Not speaking from experience but just tales from the grape wine.
 
most divorces are initiated by women, so there is that.

In my close circle of 7 couples , only two of us are on starter spouses and of the 5 on do overs 3 were initiated directly by the guys . No cheating , they just couldn’t fathom the next 30? Yrs with that partner. Always 3 sides to a story .

In the real world there’s no such thing as black and white, whole lotta grey.
 
Well, to be truthful, in the end there really is black & white in most cases but what people see are a whole lotta grey.

Many people I've known have had what I like to call a warped sense of reality (ex-wife included). Objectively, that was a definite "black" but you convince yourself it's "grey" if it makes you live with yourself.

It sounds like you're in a dating phase ... prepare yourself for that.

Humans are really good at justifying their 'black' options to themselves. Seen it time and again.

'I didn't cheat, but my wife wasn't doing ABC so it's HER fault'. Same goes the other way.

It's never a simple answer, especially when others and emotions are involved.
