He's like a magician. While he entertains the masses by being a clown his minions are doing the real damage.


If there are long unendurable line ups and his followers get there first he could win.

I know of a union vote that went that way. On a contentious unpopular issue insiders were advised to vote earlier. When the rank and file arrived as usual voting had closed.

Biden is presently deciding on his running mate and it sounds like it must be a black woman, at least not white.

While there is a need for getting more diversification in politics, when there is a national emergency wouldn't it be more prudent to hire the best person? If the person is a visible minority woman all the better.

If I need heart surgery I don't care if more minorities are needed in the field. I want the best black, white, male, female straight, gay or bi doesn't matter. If a minority female can quell riots and get the US back up and running more power to her but to eliminate the best for the job by reverse racism doesn't sound good.

Right or wrong?
 
Right now, I'm critical of right-wing stupidity, because that's what's in power in the USA, and there is no shortage of stupidity from that source. I am absolutely not averse to being critical of left-wing stupidity, and if the current administration in the USA shows us one thing, it's that the people in place need to be competent above all else. I don't consider Biden to be a particularly good choice, and Hilary certainly wasn't a good choice last time around, but to choose a running-mate based on race or sex as opposed to competence means the Democrats haven't learned.
 
in 2012, Romney, whom I consider a pretty good dude, an old school Republican, claimed:

yes, I will have women in cabinet and in government
I've tasked my staff to identify talented women
and I have binders full of qualified women to chose from


Obama:

binders?
I don't need binders
I know and have with worked with plenty of talented women
they will get jobs in my administration

this is the same
a black woman will get the job
because there have been many qualified, forever
and overlooked

The Dems got a black guy in and thought they were on a roll so went for a woman, unfortunately the wrong one. Should have gone with Michelle Obama. She'd been running the White House for eight years anyway.
