I didn't get that phishing email. Even spammers don't wanna be my friends
\The following email has been sent out to all members. If you didn't get it, it's because you don't monitor the email address that you used to sign up here. Please note:
Hi All,
I was really hoping that the next email blast that GTAM would be sending out would be our 2014 Season.
Unfortunately, due to the site being hacked/compromised recently, I'm sending out this email to advise you that it happened, for those that might not be aware and to ask you to be safe and change any passwords that you have for other sites.
Possible compromised information includes: email address, user name and profile information that you filled out.
We are working diligently at ensuring the site is fully updated and protected and also working with our server to ensure all the necessary protections are in place. We are hoping to avoid any major changes, but please be aware that it might be necessary to purge the database if we can't locate the source of the infection.
We will do everything in our power to ensure the GTAM is safe and secure. Sincere apologies for any inconveniences.
See you in January at the show!
We have been working very diligently at resolving and fixing this issue. If you have specific questions or concerns, please email myself at cutekill@gtamotorcycle.com or paul@gtamotorcycle.com and we will respond to you immediately.
here is the email I sent Amazon
"To Whom it may concern,
I received the attached email from Amazon.com
Please delete my account and all payment related details.
I will await confirmation that you have done so.
Regards"
Google "phishing scam" - no one has your payment details..... they are trying to GET them - if you are dumb enough to click the link and put in your email and password....then you should change your password with the REAL amazon.com immediately!
So how can I delete my account? I never found the option, otherwise would have deleted it before this happened...
I hope "antivirus" gets rid of warts.
Get it? <nudge nudge>
something you should be telling your partners?
You guys better get your act together. This is getting ridiculous. It's been, what 6 times now? I have never seen a site get hacked so many times. You better change a provider or pay to get better protection or you may find people may want to start lawsuits over lost and compromised info. So pathetic.
I got a fake paypal email. I'm thinking this forum is the source of this since I've never had one of these
