Black Mirror S7 - was pretty meh, even the USS Classister eps. The concepts were good, just the execution was off. I remember previous seasons being more short and impactful, these seemed drawn out to the point of being boring.

We started watching Lilyhammer for the second time. It is hilarious and very entertaining. What is more telling is that we watched it when it was first released on Netflix many years ago, and between the wife and I we could only remember 1 or 2 events. Really enjoying it. 3 seasons, 45 min episodes.

Yup enjoying it so far ...good review here
Keep me occupied for a while.

Oh man, what a let down... M'man made it all the way to the last leg on Canada's Ultimate Challenge only to choke...Lol.
He's sure to be getting some ribbing at work over the next while...
I already told told him to put in for Rue Paul's Drag Race..

Decided to give it another go
3 seasons enough to get my teeth into it. A fourth confirmed.
Production values very good...dynamic colour works well...shadows detailed with no washout on the whites.
Easy on the eyes with natural lighting look.
Been long enough I've forgotten details. 🍿
Like the leads

It does get better as the seasons go on. I'll disagree on the shadow detail though, at least in a recent episode. So many shows, these days, don't consider the medium they're using. There was a whole episode that was pretty much a wash for me because it mostly took place at night and I couldn't see a bloody thing, on the hotel TV that I was watching it on. My home TV would likely have been OK but you can't just assume that everyone has the latest, greatest tech.

We've got a newer smart tv and we still end up watching low light scenes that are so dark it's hard to tell what's happening. Don't they review what they film??

They sure do. On their colour corrected and light balanced editing rigs. Not on the sort of stuff where it will ultimately be played.
