TV shows currently watching

Yep, that's the episode she noped out on. I watched the rest of that episode because I'm stubborn but at that point you know the last episode is going to be consequences.

Just watched the first episode of Mobland and really enjoyed it. If you like old school english ganster movies I think it will be right down your alley. Also has a great cast, Im a fan of Tom Hardy, he was awesome in Taboo a few years back.

8.1/10 on imdb so far.

The wife and I binge watched The Residence on Friday night and yesterday. Good show. If you enjoyed playing CLUE at any point in your past, you'd like this show lol, but even if you didn't it's still enjoyable.

All in all, it was good though. The White House set is incredible, they basically recreated the entire house, and reportedly people who have actually been there and worked there have stated that it's incredibly accurate down to the small details.

Worth the watch.

Been watching Jack Ryan series. I thought I had not watched S2, but I guess I did. Was ok, got stupid near the end going all gun ho.
Might get into S3, it's just fill while some other series wrap up before I can binge them.

Those types of shows are all victims of their own success.

You have a relatable figure that's 'normal' and is placed into messed up situations and gets through them.

Then each season they get closer and closer to superman / hero status...Rarely does it work for me.

Just finished up White Lotus S last night.

Not even sure how I found it, but damn all were good watching.

Highly recommend.

Agreed!
I was expecting the finale to be a bit more chaotic and end with more destruction than it did…but really well done.

They know how to build tension.

Finished up White Lotus S3 - was good, a few twists at the end. The only twist I didn't like was with Belinda. I dunno I thought she was the 1 character who would be grounded through the show, she pretty much was. There is probably more to her story later on. Also now I'm thinking Greg is more of a main character.

As well that resort looks spectacular, tucked away in the jungle.

BTW:

Black Mirror S7 is out

Apparently there is a S6 of The Handmaids Tale. I thought how the previous one ended that would be it, plus it was 3 years ago. Seems odd.

Interesting fact about S3 - Saxon is played by Arnie's son Patrick Schwarzenegger

I feel like I need to hunt down the episodes of the "Twin Peaks" revival series, in honour of one of my Seattle friends who had a small part in it ('Hit and Run Mom'). Especially after she posted pics of revisiting the cafe in North Bend, Washington that has the "damned fine coffee", and my own return to this place:

I have a silent crush on Mook. Don't tell the wife, lol

No I mean, don't.

Anyway now that Reacher is over and Wheel of Time is nearly impenetrable, I am kind of in a Blue Jays mode. There's a few decent but not notable movies around, but the wind has kinda left my sails on TV shows.

On the other hand, they finally found some real evidence of very old construction in Oak Island. It's been probably 5 years since I felt like I'm just wasting my time on that show but I am fascinated by the possibilities, so they just lead me around by the nose. *sigh*

And on yet another hand, K likes to watch older movies that she likes over again and we watched Rise of Skywalker. I forgot how @#$& the last 1/3rd of that movie is. A half dozen benevolent Force Ghosts, Palpatine just willing a thousand Star Destroyers complete with living crew into being and yet gets d!ck-punched by his granddaughter with little effort, Kylo Ren suddenly turns Jedi, Leia is suddenly bisexual, etc. etc. FFS.

@Shaman How about fresh Black Mirror Season 7?
Watched 3 first episodes (started with USS Callister though as couldn’t wait :)) and so far it’s intense on the edge of disturbing = love this show.

BTW and I’d advice to watch Common People (first episode of S7) last - at least this is what ppl on the net suggested and I do agree :)

I haven't seen season 7. Black Mirror is one I have to watch without the wife, she finds it wayyyy too disturbing. Which is perfect for beers and Sundays.
