Nice start for me - I had no idea what Taipei looks like. Electric mopeds almost small motorcycles for the gang.
Clever to overlay the MKR type show while the mayhem goes on. 🍿
Pretty seamless switch from subtitle to English. clever puppies. Marginal scatological humour
Damn mom's a big star. Michelle Yeoh.
Reminds me I need to chase down Crouching Tiger ....and Geisha just dropped on Netflix.

Might give up on Woman King as very stilted but it's based on a true story so will hold off.
Waiting patiently on SAS season 2.

Started watching this today. 2 episodes in, and so far so good:

I loved the original movie as a kid. Tempted to rewatch, but at the same time not not willing to risk ruining the nostalgia.

The 1997 version on its own would have been OK, but as a remake of the original it was disappointing:

Tried to watch after supper yesterday - kept falling asleep - went to bed and woke up after midnight  Some binge watcher.
At least had a decent go with Wordle. 🍿

Finished Severance S1 last night…wow…

Looking forward to S2 coming soon but it’ll be a weekly release of episodes.

In the meantime one more episode of Silo S2 to finish but only available tomorrow.

Well I prefer Survivor ....been watching since it first started 20 tears ago tho not consistently.
The First Season was quite unexpected outcome that still echoes.
The one in Australia ( set not far from me ) was simply brutal on contestants ( the show was learning )
The first one in Africa proved that smarts, science, being crafty and experience could overcome being the oldest.
The last one Season 47 I enjoyed for its diversity including a gender fluid contestant I really liked and a 59 year old pretending to be in her 40s I didn't.

Now this. The amount of money is insane. both awarded and spent on sets. I'll reserve judgement 🍿 but there is a bread and circuses aura while the world gets rough that is a bit off putting. I have no idea of how the economics of a show this scale can work.
So far.....not entirely engaged or entertained that much half way through Ep2.. :cautious:

Squid Games ?? pass.😕 not my cuppa at all

Found a free source of Survivor from the new era....41 and forward...just post-covid.
That will keep me occupy while it rains and waiting on the new ride.

Watching Han Solo doing a great job in Shrinking on Apple TV.
How can Apple put it's name on such a horrible streaming service? Everything about it sucks.

I'll watch that next but engaged in Faraway Downs which really shines as a series over Australia stand alone movie which was a mess.
The story line is clear and the attack on Darwin which was devastating is very well done.
Leaving aside Baz' overindulgence in melodramatics - it's engaging....star power doesn't hurt and Nullah is the real star.
Serious effort to recraft this into an engaging series. 🍿 I enjoyed it.
David Gallipoli was perfect as King George...Nullahs grandfather. What a loss his death is.

What a powerhouse actor he remains in his legacy of movies.

I gave Faraway Downs a shot, couldn't get into it.
You were right it's just a re-edited version of the Australia movie. No wonder Nicole Kidman looks good as it was from a few years ago. Now she's all plasticy looking...

If it's like so much else that's Apple then they likely stole it from someone else and slapped a new coat of paint on it.
