TV shows currently watching

Watching "Skeleton Crew" on D+. Yup, "kids on bikes" meets Star Wars. It's like if they did a sequel to "The Goonies" in which the kids jumped on the pirate ship, as it sailed off over the horizon.

Aside: I'm quite annoyed that some of my friends' productions are on Prime in the US, but that even my VPN won't let me access them. At least some of the indie films that I've backed are starting to show up on Tubi and Roku, in Canada.

Anybody watched The Madness on Netflix?

Lot's of good reviews lately, I tried it and quit right after main character had a scene as CNN TV host lol - legacy media is the sign of past times...
But I might try to force myself to continue if more recommendations and positive reviews..
So far I see IMDB has 8/10 for Gangs of London I mentioned above and only 6.5/10 for The Madness...

We watched it for a couple of episodes and I don't know, it was like everyone was trying too hard, just couldn't get into it or the plot really.

That was a real loss when their set burned.
Enjoyed it while it lasted

Apparently it was mostly, if not all filmed in Freelton, just east of here. Breezy Corners restaurant makes a few cameos.

Im two episodes in now. Its ok...but I will say that cancel culture is scary regardless of what level in society you are.

I get what @Sunday Rider meant about everyone trying too hard.
Similar vibe of the TV show 'Lioness' in a sense.

Just started it, looks promising. Love the cast.

Big cast, mixed reviews 🍿 enjoying it - along the lines of Slow Horses but not quite
Finished but think there may be another season in the future. Homophob? not for you.

Season 2 is confirmed (y)

The Agency may give a try - fits the segue. Where to stream?

Boy Swallows Universe

It's quirky but we're liking it. One episode left.

Rogue Heroes is fantastic - that speech at the bar about commandos had me in stitches. The intercuts and music is brilliant.
There is a MASH feel to it that is wonderful (y) 🍿

The last surviving member of the original wartime SAS has died aged 103. Major Mike Sadler was recruited by David Stirling, the founder of the British Army's elite Special Air Service regiment, which was formed in 1941.4 Jan 2024
