I saw one in person, once, when I worked at the old Terminal 1 parking lot back in college. It is a nice looking car. For gull-wing door cars, however, I prefer both the '56 Mercedes 300SL and the '74 Bricklin SV-1 (made in New Brunswick).The Delorean doc on Netflix is eye opening. I had no idea the backstory on that car.
I never found it an attractive looking car. There’s mention in the doc from someone in the car business saying they think it’s the sexiest car available then a few minutes later in one shot you can see a 69-70 Chevrolet SS black with white stripes in the background and it looks way better imo.

We are Timo&Jo, an Italian & English couple with countless ocean miles under our belts, We're refitting an ex Vendée Globe Open 60 race boat originally designed & built & raced by famous Hungarian sailor Nándor Fa. He competed in her in the 1992 Vendée Globe (round the world single handed race known as “the Everest of the seas”), finishing 5th, becoming the first non-frenchman to finish. We are currently in Fiji giving this old gladiator a new lease on life, converting her to a performance family cruiser, which we'll need to make both dog and baby proof! We’re planning to set sail again in Oct 2022, so with limited time&money we have plenty of challenges ahead to turn our dreams into reality&get back on the water!
