Weren't there a few hired mercenaries? I'm sure there would be at least 1 ex-military in the bunch.

Plus why does he wear a hoodie like that videgame? Lol

More than a few but he's a super, and they're just nameless thugs. You can't have a hero be taken down by nameless thugs. It's in the rules.

Not sure when they went to the hood from the stupid looking hunter's cap, that I remember from back int he '70s. The hood looks better by far.

Just watched seasons 1&2 of Survivors....as far as post apocolyptic TV series' go, it is better than Walking Dead and Revolution for sure.......Finished last episode of season 2 last night only to be left hanging as the BBC decided viewership wasn't as high as it had hoped, and scrapped the project before making season 3.....I am livid!

The same thing happened with another excellent series, "Outcasts", though it only lasted for one 'series' (8 episodes) as they term it in the UK.

In interviews the stars are saying that DC seems up for letting just about any hero from their universe to a walk-on. Now we've got Black Canary. Deathstroke is Arrow's mentor on the island. I can't wait to see who shows up next.

That's kinda the point ;) Most thugs, who pick up a gun, don't have a clue how to use it even in real life. Here you've got a guy who picked up a bow because he had to, to live, then was trained by some of the best people in the world with it. Follow it up with combat training by a renowned mercenary/assassin. Add in a fight for survival and a touch of lighthearted torture, and you make a superhero.

Flash as teased in the first episode of this season.

Sherlock comes back Jan 19th for its 3rd Season.

Agents of SHIELD is awful..... terrible...... I don't know if my head hurt from the writing and nonsense writing or from the facepalm it made me give myself.

Gotta admit there are some hot chicks in it tho

I missed that. A natural would be Green Lantern, given that they had a co-op book for years, but that might be a little too over the top, power wise, for this show.

Awesome Arrow episode last night!!! Contained another Flash hint in the news report (Starlabs particle accelerator protests).

Really like the flow of the show, chit happens every episode and leaves you hanging for the next.

Seems to me that they've stepped away from the original origin story for Black Canary fairly significantly, but I haven't seen an Arrow comic in something like 30 years. The way that they handled it certainly works in the context of the show though.

yea, and the Black Canary already has 2 dimensions or story lines that DC comics has struggled to explain, now add a 3rd one.

I know, I sound like such a nerd

Arrow is getting worse, just sucking more and more as the time goes by and so is the tomorrow people

you are watching a different show, the story telling and action is totally awesome. it's 50 steps up from smallville which was a total departure from any know superman mythology.

tomorrow people is watchable.

Conventional TV, I'm enjoying The Blacklist. The Goodwife has been interesting. Then mindless fun with Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.

The Millers has been good at times. Michael J Fox show is pretty good too.

SOA season has developed nicely while Boardwalk Empire was slow out of the gate but, holy crap it sure made up for it in the last two or three episodes.

Almost Human. Starring everyone's favourite Dredd, Karl Urban. Cop comes back from injury, new sidekick is a robot

Check it out.

As robots go I preferred Yancy Butler in "Mann and Machine", but it's not bad.

I think they have good potential with what they want to do. It's at least different from the everyday CSI/Criminal Minds/insert-fbi-procedural-here.
I like Urban as an actor and they could do a lot with this show. we'll see where it goes.

In terms of crime fighting procedurals, check out The Blacklist. I liked James Spader since his Boston Legal days, and he does a good job of filling in the "villian-turned-goodguy but what's he up to", kinda role.

Check out "Broadchurch"; a UK police procedural, set in a small English coastal town. Play 'spot the Doctor Who actor' for extra credit.

"The Tunnel" is also rather good, as procedurals go. It starts with a murder in The Chunnel and follows an English cop and a French cop.

One of the best period dramas that the BBC has produced in years, "Ripper Street", is being cancelled. Bloody pity. It lost the ratings wars to "I'm a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here." Reality shows will be the death of network television.

On the other hand, "Space Janitors" is running a Kickstarter campaign for their third season. It's a made-in-Toronto web series that follows a couple of janitors on a Death Star-like station. Network TV falters. New media carries on and innovates.
