Triumph owners unite!

Thanks for the response. I'm getting a pretty dirt cheap rate for my car and bike with statefarm right now, although I'm a lot younger than you:confused1:

Another question:)
I read somewhere that the Daytona's and Triples have a small battery, and a lot of people have problems with batteries dying if they don't keep it on a tender when not being used. Any truth to that?

i've never come across this issue on either of the 2 triumph forums i use. the only time a tender has ever touched my battery in the 2 years has been in the winter.

for daytonas and street triples, a quick search on triumph675.net will answer any of your questions with those models.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Can I join?

A '08 Bonneville, and a '71 T25T 250...

Let's stop writing, and let's start riding!

For whatever reason I am unable to load up the pics....damn computer!

It's not so much that they have a small battery, but I've read and have had some bad personal experience with a weak charging system.have you taken a look at triumphrat.net. there are a threads on there regarding these issues. I wouldn't call them significant but when you seek out flaws you will find them right?

Nice. Are you the guy that parks near my house all the time? US plates?

I know you don't know where my house is, but I don't really wanna broadcast to the world where you park every day. Haha. Some people are crazy paranoid about that stuff.

that's me actually... same bike as bogdon but no fly screen..

Me..running US129:D. Last leg of an 11 day, 5000km+ east coast trip, just got back.

Oh yeah, I saw you pull in last night at St. Louis. Wanted to say hello, but got a bit distracted. It's good to know who you are on here- I'm always walking or riding past your bike and in case anything bad happened, I could at least get in touch with ya.

im pretty sure i saw a street triple R at weston and rutherford a few days ago. had a female passenger. saw the same model downtown at uoft. i cant even remember the last time ive seen another triumph whenever im out so i got excited but couldnt turn around to say whats up

got me thinking more about getting all the Triumphs around here in one spot. judging from this thread alone, probably looking at 10-15 bikes. so im just going to go ahead and create a new thread for a possible meet. ill post the thread link in here when i do!

I totally agree with you, i LOVE the thruxton! Awesomest bike out there... this WILL be my next bike! How do you like it.?? How do you find it compares to other bikes you've ridden???

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I absolutely love this Thruxton, it's well built and well mannered. It's not exactly the fastest of machines on the road but I wasn't shopping for fast when I bought it. I find the riding position to be more extreme than an R1, a bike I test rode last summer. There is some vibration (it's a 360 degree parallel twin after all) but no more than any other machine I've been on lately. It handles quite well and is predictable in the twisty bits, but as with most other machines the suspension has been made to a price point. The overall quality is very good and the bike has been very reliable. I have put about 45000kms on it over the last four seasons.

I'm in for whatever organized Triumph ride there is in the GTA.

Power, comfort, luggage capacity, and... looks only a mom could love:

Hey;
LOL!! one of these posts just kills me!!! I am rolling on the floor laughing...

I am the "ex-rooomate" lol actually ex wife.. and yes I took my bike with me.

I would love to get out for a triumph ride before I sell my bike.
2006 red Daytona 675.
Have no time right now to ride.
I own the Caledon Inn and well that is a 24 hour a day job.
The only thing I can find time to do is jet out back for 30mins on my dirt bike and go for a ride on my dirt bike track.

Anyways.. if you guys are planning on a ride soon before I sell the bike.. keep me posted I would love to go out one last time!!!

Ok, here are my two...'71 T25T Trail Blazer 250 + '08 Bonneville (shouldn't the '71 be in the dirt, and the '08 on the pavement?)

Any Triumph riders in the Peterborough area. Just picked up my 09 Street Triple R. Love the bike. We have great roads to ride in the Kawartha's. I would plan a group  ride in September if any one was interested. Just let me know.
