Toronto to waste +6 Mill Renaming Dundas street.

Meh, at least we'll actually see where the money went when the shiny new signs are put up. I feel so much of it ends up in black holes that lead to open pockets, none of which are mine.

Damn, I should really start an Asian railroad movement and see how much $$$ I can bully out from the government even though none of my relatives or family have anything to do with the railroad.

Am I doing this right? Just trying to copy what other minorities are doing to fit in =')

They should make the renaming completely democratic…everyone votes for their favourite name.

I'm looking forward to wandering down Mussolini drive, or Streety Mc Street face, etc.
We could name streets after other towns.

Intercourse PA, Dildo NFLD, Hell Michigan

Any others?

Do it. Your something something feel sad because asians were abused. If you can pass it off use the Japanese camps that were set up during WWII.

I’m calling it. That is the next anger being formed.

Meh, $6M is a total rounding error in the city budget. Actually being upset about the money? Well there is an extremely (ridiculously) long list of things to be upset about first, really $6M is so far down the list it is not even funny.

No. The Boomers would get upset again.

Remember the very short lived ‘OK Boomer’ phase?
Since no other thread is really applicable and this is hilarious . . . Daymak sells a mobility scooter with A/C and pedestrian/cyclist/brush bars called the Boomerbuggy. No idea if it is legal to drive this thing in public in Ontario.

The city could sell the street naming rights with say a 99 year length (or shorter but not too short) with a corporate "morality" clause... They could make money.... and we could have Amazon Way for $50M.

But really if anyone is actually concerned about the waste of money, well this is really WAY down the list to even be concerned about.

It never died.

It's just an acceptable term now used to describe an older person who's technically inept. All's fair in game if our generation grew up with special snowflake insults right? <_< Equity for all!

Are snowflakes generational? I considered that term to represent a personality. In my experience, that personality is present across all age groups.

Lol I was thinking of Newfoundland as well, they have lots of interesting street signs. Too bad they wouldn't work in Toronto, too stuck up!

I thought it was targeted at millennials? There was a phase where the media was flooded with how millennials don't want to work because we're too special, which eventually evolved to "why millennials don't want to work for you", and now it's "how to engage your employees."

Apparently it really started in 2010?

Don't even joke about this

Ok. That makes sense. I never refer to "generation snowflake". I think of snowflakes as individuals. Are there more snowflakes amongst younger people? Seems plausible but I don't have any evidence to support that.
