Unfortunately, I've overheard people saying that "Ford isn't a rich fatcat, he's one of us".. Not sure which planet they live on...

Ford is rich and fat but not a cat. Cats land on their feet.

I don't know about that...seems he's done pretty well, landed on his feet and continues to live on in political life considering everything that's happened.

I'm glad Tory has joined the race but now the issue will arise of a few qualified candidates will split the vote, and Ford may win simply because the others have their own followers.

Assuming Stintz does run, I think both she and Soknacki will eventually bow out and lend their support to Torey. It will be a 2-horse race between Torey and Ford. The big wildcard in all that is Olivia Chow, should she decide to run.

Regardless of who you favour for the next Prince of Queen and Bay this is the biggest concern. A split vote could result in no one being happy.
 
I'd vote for tory as a good alternative to Ford. Stinz no thanks. This person a tool, probably not as big as Olivia chow though who lives off Layton's memory. Wasn't Olivia involved in a scandal where she was living in subsidized housing in Toronto?

I think that she and Jack were living in a subsidized unit. Nowhere as big a scandal as rofo, at least it didn't make the US late night talk shows.

As a radio host, he makes a great politician. I found him to be condescending and pedantic. Far too many times I would get out of my car saying, "**** off Tory", usually when he was either whining about the Provincial election loss that he says doesn't bother him, or when he was being incessantly repetitive. Example: "I'm talking about professionals here. You know like doctors, and lawyers, and accountants, and........" and he unnecessarily reamed off a half dozen professions.

Would I vote for him? Sure as long as he didn't create an issue that the opposition could exploit, that I simply couldn't support.
