I usually use it to find a matching screw. Trying to pick out the right one out of a mixture of 100's of others can get tricky and close enough won't fly.

Or checking the thread in an application that is hard to get to.

I'll let others make the "judgment call".
 
@matt365 beat me to it, mine are like that.

I’ve only seen the @oioioi version in the fastener aisle at HomeDepot.

I like it cause its portable. The case is also nice. I know if I am missing one as there would be an empty spot.

Any feedback on this ? Does it work well?
I have been thinking about getting one but not sure if they are worth the investment.
