Too Hot For Motorcycles?

Stuck sitting in traffic (downtown traffic jam) I have in the past fouled plug(s) in this type of weather (air cooled bike, no fan). Bike was in perfect working order just could not cool itself down sitting at an idle for extended periods of time. A different heat range plug may have delayed this...

Moving at even street speeds it has never happened in this weather.

Yesterday I went offroading near Raglan with my Ural in 2WD the whole time, slow speeds, mainly first gear, with an air-cooled engine. Yeah, it got hot, and I could hear it, and when I got to the end of the trail the poor thing couldn't idle very well, so I let it cool off while I had a smoke break. Was perfectly fine after that, so I'd say the average modern, fuel injected bike is going to be just fine in this weather!

Because I typically ride my ninja250 at 7-11k rpm, it gets hot, runs a bit rough in the heat if, for example, I'm stuck in traffic after a highway jaunt. Runs fine after a quick break. At no point though has a temp light come on or it has been bad enough that i'm worried about it damaging the bike, just doesn't run as smooth.

My fzr 250 is air cooled, and it really likes moving at higher speeds. So traffic really makes my engine sad.

Yap, my bike is fine in this hot sauna like weather, and it is air and oil cooled engine.
However, I'm not in this humidity, so haven't been riding as much to avoid being soaking wet with sweat.
