Too Hot For Motorcycles?

Wet your T shirt with cold water under your gear, open all your vents. Voila! On Bike Air Conditioning ;)

Works a charm if you don't have AC too.

I'm a little tired of whining Torontonians bitching about the heat!

Whent he hell did humans become so fragile, that they can't survive with out AC?!?!?! We got running water don't we?

I wouldn't want to do that in this weather for my own sake, concerns about the bike aside, and while wearing all your gear?? Though I'm sure a lot of people go squid on extremely hot days.

Ok, I'll admit I went squid leaving PD 13...
Thinking of a swim and cold beer all the way home (my bad).

I've gone deeper than that lol. 91 GSXR750. So close!!! More than an inch!

Park with your kickstand in the shadow of the bike!!! Think about the long term movements of the sun!!!

So close!

When I'm unsure I will push down on the bike to see how tolerant the pavement is.

Psh. I just ball out. Today I wore a black suit, black shirt, black helmet and a tie. You should have seen the face on the cop as i blew past on my nekked ninja 250... doing the speed limit ...in a school zone. bike was screaming in 2nd gear.

This is my main concern about doing the M. Wanting to change gears in intersection, I mean, even on small intersections if I don't change gears I'm at at least 7k rpm before I cross it. Maybe I'll just leave it in second and give it some more gas lol

I've been riding squid more this season because of the heat. I don't ride very far on a daily basis, so whatever. If I overheat in gear in this weather, I just won't bother going these days.

Going throught he USA interstates last week in the heat I saw a lot of tire shreds all over. I don't know if that is heat related or they don't bother cleaning them up.

Your telling me. Three of four coaches cancelled my daughters T-Ball game yesterday because it was too hot. Her coach didn't cancel and yet only five of ten kids showed up on her team.

I say I'd rather be swearing in shorts and t shirt, than freezing in a parka.

You got running water in your car? Damn y0, you ballin'.

That aside, I too agree that people complain about the weather too much... shut up already and embrace it!

+1

It's like people are allergic to sweat or something. I was sitting in traffic last week in leathers with a small trickle of sweat running down my face and the person in the refrigerrated car beside me assumed I was uncomfortable. Our systems our quite capable of thriving in these temperatures, assuming you don't have respiratory issues or have other medical issues (like being horrendously fat and out of shape).

With regards squiding, notwithstanding the slide protection issues, I prefer wearing jacket and pants then getting first degree burns from the sun. Also, I find the solar radiation blasting on my exposed skin makes me warm. Hmm, I think I discovered something new. Oh wait, I remember now, everyone that lives in a ridiculously hot climate covers their skin. I wonder what they figured out that the folks in flip flops and tank tops don't get?
