TMP - June26th Video

Use vimeo. Better quality than youtube.

That could be it?? I had NIN - March of the Pigs, Machine Head, and Refused.

Anyway the Roger's extreme might do it not too badly but take maybe 3-4 hours. How big are your files?
My 1080 files are just over 2GB so I went down to 720.

As you can see by the amount of uploads I've done today, I am on an insane crazy fast connection currently.

Try crediting the songs in the description to video, not sure if that puts you in the clear but it worked for me and worth a try? Or get a Vimeo account?

I checked out Vimeo, it only has a 500MB per week cap on it unless you pay...

Seriously?!?!? Damn!!!! I will have to reupload and test it out.

Not trying to get into any type of internet altercations, especially since we have talked on PM but... I really don't pass people in the corners. I am very careful about not passing people mid corner, especially on the inside. I really only pass people on the brakes.... unless you are talking about slowly making my way through the traffic that is literally crawling through the corners... I do that on the outsides also. I really do put an effort into not spooking people as I go around them... haven't caused any crashes yet. :)I am not planning on staying in beginner any more... that was it for me. My fourth track day... First track day I did 2 years ago was the same thing, beginner is just crawling out there but the straight away speed is much too great for my lowly SV to keep up... I just don't like the idea of people blasting up the inside of me into turn 1, as my bike is clearly much slower than pretty much everyone else's... and I am still working on my own confidence. If you can point out any moments that you think are questionable, I will definitely watch it a few times over and try to make some mental improvements. Also I have some more vids uploading at the moment... Here's the second session... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35gCmJR8aMA

Clearly the rules must have changed at some point for beginners group... Even the instructor passed on the inside at Turn 1.
When I started in beginners we were only allowed to pass on the straights no where else even on the brakes or outside in a corners... but like I said earlier I don't know what the GWB's rules are since I didn't get to hear them, you guys had your own riders meeting, maybe somebody can clarify?
Anyways, at the speeds your going through the corners you should move up to Intermediate... when things start getting too slow in the group it's time to move up for sure. Yes you'll get passed on the straights in intermediate but you'll be faster in the corners and make up time... it all works out.

There is a backdoor way to upload any song to your video without YouTube banning it... You have to change the pitch by one and the copyright on that song will not register in the upload. ;)

Awesome thanks!!!

While I can't remember on this day anyone saying specifically "no passing in beginner" I've always followed the rule of only passing in the straights. I do remember talk of not being an idiot in the riders meeting.

One of my personal pet peeves is when people pass you in the straights, only to consistently hold you up in the corners.

I realize part of it is due to my laziness in the straight and unwillingness to nail it (hate shifting in my boots actually)....but it's really annoying when someone passes you on the inside of the straight going into 2, then slows down so much that you almost ram into them mid corner.

As long as others are sharing the track accordinf to the rules, then it's up to you to find a spot where you aren't being bothered by som othere rider. You can pit in and wait for the next opening, for example.

However I doubt there's anybody who would slow down behind you and wait for you to get to the next corner if you're dawdling down the straights, so you may not find any section track that suits you when you ride like that.

Download Audacity... YouTube how to work the program :)

Paul we need a "like" button on here:D Had 3 vids and all 3 were blocked at some point cause of copyright stuff but they seem to be working now. To save time I'll just do what you said:)

Do not be fooled people.... YouTube knows whatever the songs R1guy uses will not get any copyright complaints...:snorting:

As a beginner myself last year I was told not to pass in the corners and only on straights. Mabie it was the organizer?

From the first video, I think you should watch the folloing points;

3:24 - Leave more room, you coul have spooked him or if he had a very early turn-in point you would have hit.
3:36, 7:49, 8:10 - A lot of people make this mistake, but you should never pass someone in the space between them and the racing line. Either they think they're on the line and you will spook them, or they may suddenly move over to take the line and you will be pooched (as almost happened at 8:47). Treat the racing line as their property, even if the're not using it.
4:09 - Don't gawk, it causes traffic jams (just kidding!)
7:19 - A little bit too late, the guy had just turned in for the corner so technically he was 'committed' to his line (even if he had plenty of options to change course in your perception)
10:23 - You seemed to assume that the 2nd guy in line wasn't going to pass, but he could have tried going for the same opening as you.
Plus, all those other passes on the outside of a corner. In any green group I've ever heard of, no passing in the corners is allowed regardless of how much faster you are.

Any rider can choose to ride in the green group regardless of their ability, the point is just to be extremely respectful of the other riders and in this case you weren't.

Well I looked it over and do see your point on a lot of those examples. To me on some of them I was "just going around them on the outside" but I can see what you're saying for sure. I guess the big issue for me is I am not able to pass anyone on the straights, so I feel I need to get around them while on the infield. Either way, I think I have learned all I can learn while in Novice so you won't see me there again unless I get stuck because it is full. I am imagining I won't be passing anybody for a while in Intermediate unless I get a new bike, so my next set of videos will probably all be people blasting by me. :)

No, you'll be passing people in inter. At least there, passing on the outside is allowed and riders don't expect as much space, and they (generally) stay tighter to the racing line.

But you should never feel the need to a rush to get by, in any group. Learn to live with a bit of traffic, it's just the nature of trackdays.

Oh I'm not complaining about sharing the track. As long as people follow the rules I'm fine with it. It's just a personal pet peeve and could completely be mitigated by my actions. I'm lazy. And I hate my boots. Those are my only excuses.

But it's a similar side to street riding that I've never understood. Those people that go mach 3 in the straights....and then stand it up in the corners. If you're not the comfortable in corners yet, I don't get the point of going so fast in the straights. Actually, I do get the point, I just don't do it.
