TMP Cayuga Sept 20th trailer Niagara?

Got the go ahead for my first track day.
Other than changing the coolant I think the bike is good.

Looking to see if anyone else from
niagara area is going and if anyone happens to have trailer space?

So excited! I'm gonna have to take it easy as I'll cry if the Duc goes down but it will be so nice not to worry about signs and trees and kids and cars!

Cheers

If nobody is heading up looks like I'll jest borrow a truck and rent a trailer.
Didn't realize trailers were fairly
Cheap to rent.

Well you know it already, but I'll be going, so just subscribing here.

Corsara did you end up doing the intro? Or did you just go out for the track day?
Why kind of tape did you use on lights?
Zip ties ok for the stand?
Where did you buy deionized water?
Just water or water wetter?

No, didn't do the intro, straight to track day.

Blue painters tape from CT

Water--from fortinos' 4 later bottles

I put water wetter, but you don't have to. Its better for the water pump seals though to have some of the stuff in.

Sorry about the autocorrect, but you get the point.

Just wondering what you did with all the flushed coolant? ;)

How many people were there? I'm guessing a weekday track day isn't as busy as the weekenders.

I took it to the CRC (community recycling center), along with a big tube of motor oil from a few oil changes.

I'm guessing zip ties are good for the stand?

Was there a suspension guy there?

Was there a tire guy there?

Got my confirmation from TMP today!
Bought water wetter at cdntire and distilled at Zehrs.
No turning back now.

You got water wetter from crappy tire?? last time I went there for it they said they didnt carry it anymore? I had to go to JRP

Yeah, there are bunch of other products under different brand names that are considered alternatives to WaterWetter in terms of what they do in the bike. However, from my research, they are not accepted at the track, having something to do with some base chemical they are made of. Track accepts the stuff in the bottle, which says on the label "WaterWetter", it's made of Redline. I bought a bottle at Sturgess Cycle in Hamilton, our Canadian Tires didn't have it, neither did Parts Source.

Yeah, I couldnt believe it either. Wasn't expecting to get it there as I was picking up some other stuff and it was just sitting out on the parts counter.
Welland Canadian Tire.

Besides coolant if I were interested in taking my stock street bike Ninja 250 or ZX6R to the track am I good to go? For example use the regular street tires?

Also, I'm wondering if I change the coolant to EngineIce will they allow that for the track?

From what I've read, EngineIce is not good for tracks in Canada (but is accepted in US). I might be wrong though..

yeah---coolant, tape lights, make sure tires are not worn, chain is good tension and no rust, and you're good to spank her on the track ;)

Awesome, then all I need is a full suit and I'm good to go. I'm hoping Racer5 works out for Sept 9th. If that goes well and I decide to buy a full suit this season then I'll sign up for the Sept 20th Track day if not too late.

Otherwise, I very much plan to take my bikes on the track next season. When my 2013 motorcycle budget takes effect. :)

As you know I'm already way over budget for this season. But keep going to the tap for a little more. hehe

Corsara, saw you post about photographs in the GTAM track day thread.
I know a guy, I'll ask if he wants to come. If not I have been known to take a good picture or two but sold most of my pro gear for my bikes:(
I will have my crappy camera with me though ad I can see if I can borrow a lens.
How far away from some good corners would the photographer be?

Not far from the last turn, but definitely need good lens for any of the other turns. If you can get your guy to come, it will be great and I'm interested!
