Time to Replace The Company Wheels - Help me Decide

i skimmed thru the comments on here but didn't see anything definite. are you allowed a certain dollar amount per month for the vehicle ? or do you have set vehicles you have to choose from ?

i ask because my uncle had a list of vehicles that he had to choose from for company cars, they all sucked...so I asked him that and he went back to the department that handled the negotiations and it turns out the company just cares about dollars / month... with that in hand, we went to the dealer and told them we have X amount and he got something he wanted. He ended up with a Acura RDX ... originally it was a list of domestics that were kind of crappy...

I get a list, no other options than what they provide on the menu.

You really are obtuse.
As I said before you are an ignorant person.
YOU ASKED for HELP.

That is part of the problem women CAN SMELL about you.
You are WEAK and not a MAN, so you are a turn off to them.
You lack social skills even amongst men so for certain you are weak with women.

You strike me as the kind of guy that is afraid of strong women.
I bet when they shoot you down at a bar you run off and call them lesbians:lmao:

You're right, I asked for help. I only wish you had included a crockpot recipe while you were at it.

Now when are you going to answer my questions?

cooking seems to be another skill you lack
Wow! You sound like a real catch.

I will pm Roasted so we can hang with you and learn from you.
You da man!

You have only mocked me in response to the first paragraph in every one of my posts! You must have the shortest attention span in the world. Hopefully this new IV-friendly post will show you how many wonderful opportunities you missed to hurl insults at me? (Please continue reading below...)

Is your interpretation of the poll results that we should ignore women more? Or all the time? And that's the way they like it?

Putting aside the merit of your diatribe so we can get back on topic, in what way does any of this tie in to the OP's decision to get the Rogue? And could you answer my previous questions too please?

Now when are you going to answer my questions?

I can now better see just why that happens to you a lot.
carry on...

Yes, who other indeed.

Righty-oh then.

Well I think it's fair to conclude based on all the evidence you've provided up to this point that you are paranoid, with delusions of grandeur. Don't worry, there's help out there for you. When you're ready just PM me and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Update - The Rogue lasted just over 13 months and 110k before a replacement of a 2013 golf wagen tdi. The Nissan's audio system sucked but, the bluetooth worked reasonably well. Seats lacked support and adjustment during longer road trips and the storage and space was a bit lacking.

I could have gone with a updated Escape which looks great and the tech package with the SE version I'm allowed was very appealing.

Going to miss the higher seating position and back up camera of the Rogue. Just blew a wheel bearing before dropping off the keys. Otherwise, not a bad CUV, does nothing remarkable well but still seemed to feel and drive just as well as the day I got it. A lot of folks asked me if I liked it, how reliable was it and got a few compliments about how it looked.

I like Nissan. I don't regret the choice but, it did nothing to inspire getting another one.

The current model volks is due for an update but, it still does a lot very well. If it holds up well during my my stewardship, I may consider purchasing when I'm due for a replacement.

FYI my choices this time around are:

2014 Mazda 6, 4 cyl powertrain
2013 Nissan Altima S,
2013 Rogue S or SV,
2013 Ford Fusion SE, with sync, sat radio, nav and back up camera, 1.6 ecoboost powertrain
2013 Ford Escape SE, with sync, back up warning, 1.6 ecoboost powertrain
2013 Dodge Journey, 3rd row seating. 4 cyl power train
Toyota Camery, 4 cyl powertrain
VW Golf Wagen TDI

As much as I could use the room of the Journey, I couldn't get over the over whelmed engine.
The rest are good machines in their own ways. T

The Fusion had a little more tech gizmos while the Escape offered the taller seating and SUV look. Both look great.

If I was to go with a sedan, I'd probably go with the Mazda 6 just because it looks so good and there are less on the road. While I love the Fusion's Austin Martin front end, and all the goodies packaged in, there is already a ton of them to lose it in the Costco parking lot.

After logging 100k in a year, I decided to go with the diesel. The feel and quality of the volks is pretty good and the cargo capacity is second only to the Journey.

I'll do a new thread on the Golf Wagen's first impressions after I get some seat time. Pick it up Saturday morning from Hamilton VW.

Cheers!

Yea. Nissans I found tend to do that. It's like a bland average forgetful meal. How was it? Okay, but I forgot what I ate. LoL. my maxima was ok, but I never went damn this car does _____ great.

I didn't see the Dodge Grand Caravan in your list. This would be an excellent choice for you! They all come with a 280HP V6 and 6 speed auto. I bought one in February this year as a second vehicle and it has been great! They are built in CANADA, they have tons of room (can lay a 4x8 sheet of plywood down inside), lots of power, are quiet and comfortable and have great sound systems. Fuel economy is decent as well.

Other than that, the new 2014 Chev Impala just got rated at 95/100 by Consumer Reports. This rating puts it head and shoulders above most vehicles on the market today and it would fulfill all your requirements. Definitely worth a look.

The true "drivers" car on the list, the Mazda 6.

If I were doing 100k a year, I'd want to have fun doing it. Throw in a manual tranny, and I'd be all smiles.

Would like to hear your impressions on the VeeDub

Work stipulates auto tranny and 4 cyl power trail only.

The Mazda 6 is the beauty queen of the bunch.

I prefer the cargo versatility of a SUV/wagon over a sedan.

Took the VW for a little run today with the kids. Need to get the windows tinted.

PS. The wife is now an ex. Just my say now.
