Throttle lock recommendation

I've always used one of these:

They're about $10-$12 and can be found at just about any motorcycle shop (Parker Bros, Z1, GP Bikes, etc).

I got it mainly for my carpal tunnel, and simply can't ride longer distances without it.

OK, the ride to Montreal hurt my butt and right hand, I'm looking for a recommendation for a throttle lock, who's using/used what? What's good?

TIA!

I'm very happy with my throttlemeister. They aren't cheap, but they work well..

Also something that is very important to me, you can still push the throttle back manually when locked should the need or an emergency arise..

I always use a throttle rocker and one of the cheap throttle locks (like a vista cruise). Throttlemeister looks much better, but I never had any operational difficulty with the vista cruise, so there was no need to spend 10 times as much money.

I use a Kaoko throttle lock http://www.kaoko.com/. It's similar to a Throttlemeister but the ring to engage it is easier to work...not as pretty though :). I had a cramp buster on my bike right up until I got caught in a narrow soft shoulder and as I tried to control the throttle I kept bouncing on and off the cramp buster which made it tough to get the bike under control.

+1 throttlemeister

Just bought one of these. Its great. So simple and real cheap.

+1 on this...goto gp bikes and you can buy it for ~$20.

I've used throttlemeisters, NEP throttle Locks, + Vista Cruises...in all honesty my ranking would be

1. Throttlemeister (UBER expensive though)
2. NEP throttle Lock (Cheap and effective)
3. Proton Cruise control (the one pictured)
4. Vista Cruise (Takes up too much space on the handle bar (Universal one))

Had the Throttlemeister on my SV 1000S. Bought a Ducati and went for this one.

5 minute job to fit. Take off your bar end keep the screw and attach the Kaoko. Done.

I sell an insane amount of these at work and they're pretty cheap too. They're like the ghetto one rbjeepthing posted, just less ghetto

Another +1 for this. I've also had a throttlemeister and while it looks cool I hardly used it as its a little awkward to use. This thing is amazingly simple and cheap. I also have a cramp buster too, get the one with a velcro strap. It's better. I also have grip puppies on my bars which helps too.

I vote for throttlemeister.

Every bike I have from now on will have one of these. Until I find something better that is.

+1 These do work great but here is a quick tip...A small ty-rap through one of the holes then around the other side prevents it from coming off and can actually be used to snug it on tighter if needed to hold the throttle steadier. I use my thumb to roll it back off with out changing speed or shutting off the throttle, but without the ty-rap my previous one went flying off. So there is one on the side of the road in PA somewhere. lol.
Group ride to go look for it???
