Barrie and towns along the shore of lake Huron have banned tents for years because of poo. Now, they take it further than I want and only allow umbrellas with a single point of contact. If a tent has a couple walls and a floor (like a typical beach tent for small kids), that seems reasonable.
Hey; don't knock it.
My first ever job was cleaning up barf in the stairwells of the Bouliva Tower at the CNE when some parent fed their kids junk food then told them to run up the glass encased stairwell to the top.
Great pay, hardly any work most days but yeah; haven't been able to stand the smell of sanitary sawdust ever since then
It real, my friends that work for the town of Oakville started seeing it here when Covid closed all municipal bathrooms and people flocked to our beaches . You’ll see many tents that they claim are “change house tents “ , but people go in and out and never change. It’s really friggin gross because now the public toilets are open , and we still have the tents . Water front multi million dollar homes have security cameras with video of people sneaking into the shrubbery. Worst thing to happen to Oakville was Covid introduced thousands of non residents to the beaches down here . Go take a dump at Wasaga .
Many places in the world have had poopers pooping on the beaches for decades, no worries at all...
Give you a nice squat and a time to chill and check out the water...
None? At all? According to this woman 400K children die from diseases directly related to open air pie patties in India yearly. Apparently the Invisible Sky Daddy in charge doesn't like you pooping in your home. But hey, let's just look the other way here. It's not that bad.........

Get used to it. Oakville, like Milton and King City is becoming another suburb of Brampton. I spent a few weeks in June around 3rd and Dundas, changed a lot.
When I lived there, I doubt my neighbours could spell Falafal or Somoza.

I put up a small pop up tent on the beach in my hometown so my wife and kids could change into their bathing suits instead of the washroom.
A park official said it was not allowed because mainly of drinking alcohol. Now taking a crap is a whole other level. Good grief!

Bring me your culture of good food , community, different music and spiritual differences. But please stop beating women just because , pooping on my shrubs and hacking up huge spits on tbe sidewalk . Not all cultural norms need be celebrated.
The image has been making the rounds on social media and comes just days after posts claiming people defecating on Ontario beaches were shot down as fake.
