Well I've been waiting for over a month since I bought it...and missed out on a glorious week last week...but the bike has finally arrived and it is fantastic! Big difference from the 125 and I am very happy with it so far! Booted around from Brampton Powersports (thanks Ian! Great service!) with some side streets and a bit of highway (damn you young drive in the MB who cut me off within a few feet...*********!) and I was very impressed so far! Building a shed this weekend and cannot wait for the warm weather to return!
Ride safe everyone! See you all out there!

Congrats on the new ride. Hopefully the warm weather will return soon. In the meantime, dress warmly.

For the picture, you should have lifted up the side stand.

Congratulations! I'm currently riding a 125. Thought about getting the new 250 also. But don't like the slightly wider seat. Have fun and ride safe!

Yeah, that extra $1.50 its going to cost to fill the tank will surely break the bank!

I got about 370ish kms/tank @ $9 on my 125. How's the fuel economy on the 250?

It's strange that the not available cbr150 also requires premium. Premium adds about 15 cents a litre. I use 17 litres a week equaling 2.55 more a week. Over my 8 months of riding that's $81 at my fuel economy. At the cbr250 fuel economy that will add $100 extra (a waste) to the fuel cost. Premium is also used to help get the emissions down. I would be curios with what the mpg would be after an aftermarket exhaust, power commander and using regular gas would be.

$100 extra a season? Now your just penny pinching

Because Honda wants to acheive emissions, the consumer should be burdened with paying an extra $100 to the oil companies. A $100 is a new pair of gloves, a rain suit, or whatever. The Honda engineers should have done more to mirror the 125 into a 250, than redesign it.

^ time to sell your motorcycle buddy you obviously cant afford this hobby!!!

Dude, my bike is not a hobby; it's a car alternative. :agave: It saves me money. My car 22mpg, the bike 90mpg. When I ride, 8 months, I means 8 months: Rain, cold, Frost, doesn't matter. If anything, time to sell the car. With the cost of insurance, parts, and gas, it get's me seething for the 4 months I have to use it. I am not fortunate to have one of those government union jobs, work for hydro, or the city and azz rape the public for my sustenance. If I did, you can be sure I would have another spin on the situation and be all to happy to give money to the oil companies.:coffee2:

How much does it cost you in gear, the cost of the bike, upkeep/maintenance, insurance and gas for your little bike every year? Then factor in the difference in gas for the car and of course if it's worth having joint trouble later in life from the constant punishing cold and the extreme likelihood of crashing since you don't care about frost.

If you really cared about the cost you would be riding a bicycle.

Congrats on the great looking bike.

If you are worried about a hundred bucks, you need to leave. Bikes in Canada are hobbies. Get over it.

+1 to that. Nevermind your engine running cleaner and lasting longer. Pay extra on premium and save down the road in maintenance.

I always put it in relative terms for something else you buy... how much do you pay for your cellphone data plan, or coffee at Tim's, or cigarettes, etc??? You're talking about a few bucks a week to keep your bike in good running order.

yup sell the car cuz paying for insurance for one year and you only use it 4 months is a lot more expensive then $100

And exactly how does premium gas keep your engine running cleaner and lasting longer if an engine only requires regular gas due to it's engineering constraints?

I suggest researching this before you take a shot in the dark and continue spreading fantasy rumours. Do you understand what the difference is and what it accomplishes?

I am not trying to insult you. But people keep coming up with this stuff without actually knowing anything about it and try to sell their own theories as gospel.

If I misunderstood your intent my apologies, if you were only referring to the need of a premium requirement.
