The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I saw this one at GP Bikes last weekend. The unloved Honda DN-01. I've no idea if it's a good deal, but at least it's interesting.

Maybe @MacDoc should buy it. He likes scooters, doesn't he?

That thing has been there for years I don't know why they don't just blow it out

My best deal was paying 2000 for my 2007 Suzuki Boulevard m50 Limited. I had to drive up to Durham to pick it up and transfer the paperwork. I had a riding instructor with me to evaluate the bike and he loved it as it did perform really well. Now that the bike was sold for almost its asking price as I purchased a harley.

Did you mean to type blow it UP?

We could do a gofundme, everyone pitches $10 and we buy it just to put that poor thing out of it's misery in a big bonfire in the GP Bikes parking lot. We could get some sticks and toast a few smores to celebrate our good deed as a community.

I had a customer with one once. It was the quietest I ever was on a job. The only nice thing to say I could think of was, "Well it's a Honda, so it'll last forever..." but, as I said it, I realized maybe that wasn't a good thing after all.

EDIT: Ok last one.... This is what it looks like when someone buys a DN-01 right?

Buyer on the left, DN-01 on the right.

Wow that is cheap for an 800!

There was a yellow one for sale in Ottawa area for $5500 for like 2+ months last year. Old man getting out of riding.

One of those deals where, if I had a paid gig in Ottawa I would bring $5k cash with me and try my luck, just for something new and fun to play with.... But otherwise I wasn't going to drive out there to get it.

It'll be interesting to see how quickly - or not - this one here takes to sell, should we place some bets?

Leave the poor DN-01 alone!

I'd ride a DN-01 if I knew they were reliable. It's big time conversation starter. Like CVTs too.

hmmmm $4250 with 50k km ....and it's RED
Would worry about CVT life span. I know my CB500F can go hundreds of thousands of KM.
After reading further not concerned about reliability.
Interesting that at $4950 it's less than Burgman 650s.

If all you want is a conversation starter pick up a Yamaha Niken.
Buddy of mine loved the bike but hated the attention.

No interest in the Nikken tho glad it got Oomis back in the game. It would indeed be conversation starter but at an insane mechanical cost. Not my cuppa/

The DN-01 is Honda version of the successful 650 Burgman Exec tho without some of the features that made the Exec popular.
I liked the automatic on The big Burgman ...like driving a turbine when the Power button was in. ( neat trick ). Low but good clearance enough to race in Italy.

I do not like the dual clutch automatic that Honda uses in their current crop but the DN-01 has a different set up. Pretty low HP ( 43 ) for a 680cc bike.
When I clipped my toe on the way up the Gillies the other day I thought...gee a good automatic would avoid that. ( size 12 boots and the CB500F is low ).
Even better, an electric Zero like Marc rides. Silent through the rain forest

It's PENDING as of this morning.

That is a hell of a price. 2017 was the first gen that didn't have a few of the 2nd gen updates, but still a good price.
