I can get over 300 kms per tank on my 998. Yet another reason I love it so much, but then gas stops don't bother me.
Carrying extra gas only really helps if you're planning to ride a stretch where the gas stations are farther apart than your range, otherwise, why bother with the extra weight and space? Just stop for gas more frequently. If you're not doing a full tank, it doesn't take long. With the extra fuel, you still end up having to stop anyways, but now on the side of the road, possibly in the middle of nowhere, trying to pour gas into the tank without spilling it on your hands, pants, and painted surfaces of your bike.I saw a small GIVI container for a few L at the last bike show.
Didn’t buy it as it didn’t even cross my mind, but I think @bigpoppa had a thread on carrying additional gas.
I don't think I have stretched mine that far but I think I got it to around 350kms before chickening out and topping up.My vstrom gets close to 450

How about this?I'm done with character as being the defining factor in my next bike.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Scrambler I have...there's just something that's missing and I can't place my finger on it.
Great for city. Great sound. Good power. Highway speed is ok, but the windblast sucks ***. Low range (light comes on at 170km range).
There's no perfect bike, but while I thought I'd like shorter rides since no time...I much prefer longer distance rides where I can crank the miles.
The X was great...but was missing something (oomph / power). So maybe I need more of an X...like a 750X, but that doesn't exist and I'm not huge fan of the NC750XA line.
Wow that’s a nice bike!How about this?

A good price for a classic but given the address it is suposed to be at and wanting a deposit to hold before viewing makes me think it is a scam.
I don't know, maybe a scam but easy to get around.Log into Facebook
