The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Shopping for an interm bike while I park mine and fix it on the side.

Cool.

All caught you up.

Ewwww. Price is good but straight pipes are a cop magnet and more and more municipalities are coming after them. Also it's a Shadow from team boredom. I wouldn't mind a sportster but have no interest in a shadow. Now, given the huge price disparity, maybe I could change my mind (if I could find a cost-effective muffled exhaust system).

EDIT:
No pics of left side of bike. Broken left mirror and left fork tube issues imply it might have gone down on that side. Still, it's a really cheap bike and it's running.

i have a set off a 2001 gen shadow spirit. Not mint but very cheap.

Hey all this ad just popped up
Now this is very similar to the other bike I was looking at, same year, but a bit more mileage, and $500 more, but saftied.
Best part it's actually close to where I live.
I honestly think either is only worth $4000.

Saw that one yesterday and automatically thought of you.

I attached a much better deal IMO. I forget who makes the OEM Suzuki ADV panniers, but I recall it's a major company and they're not cheap. Rest of the bike looks pretty well setup too

its been impossible to find bikes under 5k since covid.

I remember when I bought my first bike in like 2016, it was clean, and cost 3k.
Cant even get a grom for that much now.

If its close to your house, and more convenient to see and pickup, then do it

 Hmm must missed that. Does look pretty good. Though I do like the colour of the other bikes better... ;)

Hmm I hoping the COVID pricing is finally easing up. Some of those adds have been up for a while now.

Hey are you looking for a new ride, or just looking out for me!!
I am also looking (more like dreaming) so I am scouring the internet often.

I missed out on a GREAT DEAL on the bike above. 2020 DL1050
Not all hope is lost as the seller decided not to sell for now. I will be knocking on this door (ringing his phone) close to the end of the season and see if his mind has changed

I have my doubts

Well I am going to wait it out a bit more. I just got a the special tool delievered today. So I can start ripping into my bike and see what the heck happened. Then I can go from there.
But still interested in trying something new.

If your bike will be grounded for a while it's worth a call to your insurance company. Explain that the bike isnt going to be ridden for x months and see if they will let you remove liability. They probably say no but if they say yes it helps pay for some parts.

I thought about it, but then I don't want to call them and have a some kinda dumb convo with them, then ask me what is wrong with the bike, and they say it becomes some kinda risk etc. and jack up rates... ok to leave it.

Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like the price of used bikes hasn't drastically gone up, at least not relative to cars
