I have a friend who's 71 and is still a very active rider... I'm 55 and REALLY hope I can continue for 20 more years... Which isn't really very many years... Damn.

I don't know about starting the project, but maybe I'm missing something
. The last one I watched sold for over $3000 USD with 40K miles on it. Apparently '86 was the last production year for the Miniceptor and had the cam and other issues resolved. Low mileage garage queens go for $7-8K USD - but what do I know.

Was built as a track bike, crashed a few months ago and not sure I want to take it on. Have full OEM fairing set as well (black), exhaust, head/tail lights.
Engine has 1500kms, bike went into a tire wall tank-first and based on what I can see the frame is good. Clean title, will send pics on request.
Will need (at least):
- Sub frame
- Forks
- Clipons
- Rearsets
- Tank
Ideally will sell everything as a set, but open to parting out.
$4,000 for everything"

The VF500F didn't really have the cam issues the larger bikes had. 86 still had improvements though - larger oil sump, carbs were slightly different, and... other stuff that I don't remember anymore. I think 84-85 had a fuel pump that the 86 eliminated? Honestly looking at the ad, I was just thinking about the unobtanium aftermarket exhaust, and how the exhaust collector looks pretty mint.I don't know about starting the project, but maybe I'm missing something. If you're looking for a sweet original vfr this one is it. Was over and checked it out, is beautiful.
