Yeah, sorry for the confusion I was just mentioning another vstar 650 I wanted to buy last year and how the price of the one you posted seems too good to be true.
If it's mechanically sound though it might be a great deal for someone.

Emailed and was told old speedo OD crapped out many years back. Just replaced with used. Can a Vstar 650 really do 100 K plus with out major repairs ??

I respect that person for putting that distance on a bike that busts your balls when you hit the brakes. I doubt I could bring myself to part with money for that bike though. That is legitimately high mileage and any problem basically exceeds economical repair. I think they would do best to part it out.[/URL]

I owned one of these for a few years as a dirt only (recreational trail) bike and it worked good w plenty of go for me. Later I got a kdx 200 but for some reason I preferred the DT's handling. go figure. I would call it a great dual purpose bike for the era. 150 km/hr is possible (on the stock speedo) actual results may vary lol.
EDIT: I do believe the seller is mistaken in saying this is the first year DT 200 with YPVS.

Can you get a 125 to smoke a tire? Obviously you would need to be standing and probably spray the tire, but does it have the stones to get it to smoke?

OK not saying this is a deal. It rely probably is not but an interesting bike. Sachs Roadster 650 Asked for a real photo as all the ones in listing are off internet. Sachs is a German maker, Egil Frame, Suzuki DR650 engine electrics, Italian suspension and brakes. IF that is a Fiberglass tank then modern fuel will kill it. That said I like the look.
Buy a Suzuki Savage and the $4000 kit to make the same bike.
