I'm kind of interested in this bike but don't have experience with Triumphs.. Anyone has some ideas if 38k km is too much for it? Or it might be problems free for 1-2 years if it is in a good condition?

I have zero personal experience with triumphs. However it is a modern design, if it's been maintained properly 38k is nothing. At $1900 asking price there's room to spend a little on a safety.
Seems like a good deal but if you're not mechanical I'd bring someone with me to check it out thoroughly.

I like that old gixxer. all the plastic is there. if the engine is solid- not a bad deal at all.

But I would want to have paint skills, or know someone who can paint real real nice. I would need to have the period correct factory paint.

Looks to be a fairly easy project - and there isn't a lot of slabbies left around. First generation gsxr.

$1500? what can you buy for that money today?
this is a good alternative to a 300; for less money.
lots of life left in her and probably reasonable ins cost.
