first thought was too much
but then again it's about the same
as some of those 70's Hondas that are cafe'd
but are actually just old junk
don't care for the colours though
but other than that a nice bike

If I knew I could sell mine I'd grab this

Great shape, great ride, good value :) Super commuter, touring and twisties (!!!) bike. ABS and heated grips. Upgraded windshield. Original manual and tool kit. Wired for heated gear or battery tender. Always stored in heated garage. Easy to ride. Seat has three different heights. Centre stand. Clean as a whistle! Easy on insurance too. Great for new or seasoned riders, male or female. Just had major service, fluids changed. New battery, new fork seals and new front and rear brakes. Comes with great quality Honda hard sidecases from the factory(they cost over $1000, not including mounts). They look really great, nice lines! (not like those awkward after market cases-yuck!) Not a scratch on it. She is a pleasure. Currently in Toronto (Royal York and Lakeshore)

That's the next generation from mine, lighter.

You are correct - not sure why that came up on the search. That'll teach me to multi-task.

Most upgrades already done and luggage. $2500

"1999 Honda VF800R in good condition. Gear-driven cams, fuel injection, single sided swing-arm. All servicing done (oil change, brake slush, plugs, coolant, newer steering head bearings). Newer sergeant seat, heli-bars, and upgraded suspension (adjustable front and rear suspension), as well as powder coated wheels (white - looks great with yellow factory paint), aftermarket 4 into 1 exhaust, factory solo seat, backrest and hard luggage. These Honda motors can go for 120,000 + km. Come take a look, you will not be disappointed !"

I didn't think they had factory luggage ? Maybe cobin beetle bags ? I had a 2001 with staytune exhaust. Miss it very much.

Very good price (almost too good).

My fav generation of the VFR’s.

Check the voltage regulator to see if it’s been changed/upgraded.

I had a VFR too and it seems the regulators last around 60k. Mine had Kerker pipes which were obnoxious.
That is a sweet bumblebee bike with that luggage set-up. The 5th Gen bikes don't come along too often that look that well maintained, with useful accessories and reasonable mileage for that price.
I would buy it, but I have to get rid of a bike in the garage first!

My 2001 had one Regrec over 3 years of ownership. Bad corroded contacts in the regrec plug seems to be a problem. Caused heat on some wires. They have a kit for this. My buddy had the 99 model his melted the plug. Clean grease the connections to help this. These bike run a bit hot in rush hour stop and go. Big side rads and a little oil cooler in the front. Take a look at it for us. It is very tempting.
