Lol I should elaborate ... I had a guy last year pull a wheelie and come down on my back tire ( or into
My back tire ) and almost wiped both if us out. Needless to say I wasn't very happy and I go a little OCD watching the guy riding behind me lol

I don't mind the odd wheelie as long as you have the room, If your close enough to come down on the rear of someones tire then you shouldn't be doing wheelies.
I might be going the Dover route as I have a couple buddies that way I will probably stop by on the way home but I'm more or less just going there checking out some bikes and heading out, I plan on leaving around noonish.

That is not cool and I would have been pretty ticked off. Hey have fun tomorrow guys regardless which way you're heading. Ride safe guys.

Hey no worries gs500 I can see that would definetly p^$$ me off!! Good job to keep it up!
Hopefully all the "enforcement" will be down south in Dover dealing with the "chrome tractors" and we can have a peacefull ride!!

No worries buddy. I was just pulled over for a pic opportunity.

Is he and the bike ok?

Yes fortunately ... I'll give him the rest of the day to tell the story if not I'll post it with a couple of pictures.

No just video of my fat ass in the twisties ... If u can bear watching its a descent 4 mins

Last winter (18 months ago) I decided to raise the handle bars on my 03 R1. I did my research ordered a set that promised to be of aircraft grade aluminum. I put 2500 ks on the bike last season of very tame riding.New tires last week meant I could finally twist it up a notch or two. This morning Dan and I rode up to just east of Fergus where 22 meets the road to Bellwood. I offered right to the twisties or left into Fergus for coffee and maybe fuel. In Fergus turning left off #6 to go right into the Timmies parking lot I started the turn when the light went green and half way through the turn the left side handlebar snapped off right where the bar meets the riser. Its not a weld that broke but the 1/2 inch approx.threaded part that screws into the end of the bar. Thanks to Dan's choice it happened at 5kph instead of 155 kph. I like the body position that the risers provide but next time I will buy a north american product. It might cost more but it is worth it.
I also would like to thank the god of horseshoes up your a.. because once again I was saved.
Dan has photos that he hopefully will post. It was a fun ride until then.

I forgot the big thank you to Dan for running back to home in Waterloo where I grabbed tools and the stock bars went back to Fergus got the bike running took over to a friends where it will sit in his shop till tomorrow.

Well like you said at least it happened going 5kph instead of in the twisties. Man I'm glad you're ok.
A lot of good guys on this site that would bend over backwards for you.

As you can see the clip on snapped cleanly in half... I've seen them get loose but never break like that... cheap sh*t like that should not be allowed to be sold, playing with peoples lives here :(

On a lighter note my video is up on you tube, the link will follow... please be gentle as it is the first video I have ever edited and the view is from behind as I am trying to find a better place to mount the camera for the track. Its better than the front where I had it but I'm not sure how I feel about watching my *** for the whole video lol at least im in full leathers so my g-string wasn't showing .... lmao

Im pretty sure this will take you there. Just some twisties on a certain well known side road. It looks like in constantly over the line but I'm not the camera angle just makes it look that way.

Oh at the end I pass a bike on the left that's 09sv650s? you're famous lol

I like the video it reminds me of my ride home lol. A tripod on the back that would give you that over the shoulder view might be worth a try.

Wow can't believe the handle bars!!!!glad it didn't happen at a different time!

Yep in the resident slow poke apparently.

I may have to charge for all these cameo's. ;)

That really is scary, wow. I can personally recommend Helibars. I had them on my old 929 (back in 2001/02) and they were great. They survived a massive crash that destroyed the front end.
